Description
I tried to render a bird of fire with the flames obeying my will, but I am still learning the tricks of Apophysis 2.07 beta and Photoshop CS3. I love crimson to death-- it is my absolutely favorite color ever. I thought I liked green and blue at one point but I have a special place in my heart for this shade.Featured here: [link] .

Thanks so much! I saw yours, and I can honestly tell you that it was simply chance that my fractal looked like this, lol.

I love fire... it fascinates me to no end, and the phoenix was a really great symbol to use it with.

I come close with playing around
to some things .. but I'd like some
really accurate fractals ..
so if you've got a kewl tutorial that
can help me create this or something
similar, I'd love to see
and you're most welcome

For this particular fractal, I used the same tutorial as I did for the wing fractal in my gallery. I just changed the shape of the triangles in Apophysis and this was the result after I decided on the colors.

This one is very vibrant! To me it's flame like appearance reflects heat energy and speed almost like a bird version of the planet mercury that races round the sun.

Thank you so much! I really enjoyed making this piece. Not a lot of people caught it right away that this is a phoenix, so I'm glad that you saw it.

i saw the wings and thought it was an abstarct interpretation of a bird. but when i full viewed, i saw the phoenix right away (cause you can see it's head better when full viewed)
