Description And who hasn't made at least one crack about the marriage system in Skyrim, I ask you? This one derives particular inspiration from "Courtship" by , which can be found here: [link] . The "Skyrim Oddities" series was what first spurred my interest in making these comics, and I would like to consider this an homage.

Here we see Shelob not too long after becoming Harbinger of the Companions. Although he's forced to admit that the Nordic courtship ritual is better than that of the orcs, it's still dreadfully unromantic.

Oh no, you poor wretch! Don't look at these older comics, they're hideous! Do yourself a favor, start here and never ever look back:Β fav.me/d9zyngp

Why? Also, I prefer reading in chronological order so I always like to read the old ones first.

I both love and hate the courtship system in Skyrim. One one hand, it's pretty meh and blehhhh, but on the other, it can cause some rather amusing situations. On my first play through with my character I didn't know that you could trigger the marriage dialog with someone who was following you (I thought they had to be at their "home" location) so I didn't think twice about taking Vilkas along on the Book of Love quest. So, while wearing the Amulet of Mara, Emilia spoke to him to recharge the enchant on his sword. Then he pointed out the Amulet of Mara and I was thinking "Wait, what?"Β Since I wanted to finish the quest first, I had Emilia just walk away from Vilkas and not say another word to him for the rest of the quest. That must have been a very awkward couple of days.

Gah! Do not look at these older comics, for they are hideous!

But yeah, the whole "amulet + brief conversation = marriage" does lead to some awkwardness. Nothing for it but to hide the amulet on your person and then quickly throw it around your neck before talking to your intended, at which point they'll probably think you're a lunatic.

Not hideous, just a learning experience! And still enjoyable!Β Β

Nice!

Great characters, interesting situation and funny story... However, don't you think that there's a little to much text? The rest is great!

Good work!

Keep it up!

Thanks!

You may be right about there being too much text, though there's not much that can be done without compromises that I'm not willing to make.

Well... You can use screenshots of places and actions that you describe in words. It would be nice drawback and expand viewers perception of your story...

But that's just my opinion.

You made interesting comic series with great potential and well done story telling. Just keep that same good spirit up!

I'm looking forward to see your next comic episodes.

You think marriage is easy? Try eating. A whole table of food, gone within an instant. It's almost sad, really...

The marriage system in Skyrim is bleh; and this comic proves every last bleh-ness of it. Great comic! Shelob looks like a pretty neat orc.

Nice work!
You might want to consider downloading GIMP for your editing- [link] It's free, and it can do a lot of the same stuff that Photoshop can. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to do more with your editing than in Paint, with less headaches.
