So here it is, finally! I was getting tired of the super old ref Vreyin had and decided to update her. I love revamps ~
In case anyone was wondering, 99% of the text is in past tense on purpose because it's indicating she's long dead. Like all of the other avians.
Oh, and you can see a preview of the new Shrike!
I don't have much to say at the moment, so I'd just like to say a special thanks to =kilara , ~Foxchibi , and =Humingbird for their help and support. C:
Also, this species belongs to =kilara and are not an 'open species', so please refrain from making one for your own as it is disrespectful to do so without her permission. She has quite a few awesome open species though! Here's a nice little list: [link]

How the heck did I miss THIS?!
All I have to say is WOW! What a drastic revamp! She looks so beautiful too! I love her knew sleek design. Especially the gradient on her feathers C: and how her pinion feathers split in two at the shafts. You really did an incredible job at toning down her bright coloration by making those slight alterations with the dark purple. With that and by removing her vibrant neck feathers and tale spikes, you made her so much more easier to look at
Awesome storyline as well. I really enjoyed reading over that . The fireflies were a cute little addition and really helped to move everything along. It's neat how you included her parents in it too :3
Vreyin has to be my favorite Avian and I think I am officially in love with her new look <3

Wow, I'm so glad you like the new revamp... I'm super glad that everyone! has been loving it so far. ;; It means so much to me since I worked really hard on her to make her less eye burning and more aesthetically pleasing (and hopefully, a little less complicated, which is really hard for me to do in the first place! Simple characters are my bane!). So thank you for the awesome comment, I greatly appreciate it.

I'm the exact opposite XD I couldn't come up with a semi-complex coloration to save my life. But still, it takes a lot to go over and alter a character like that and the effort definitely shows here

I've always thought Vreyin is a beautiful character-- she is one of my favorite Avians, along with Shrike and a few others. c: She has a gorgeous, unique design and wonderful colors that remind me of a splash of sunset. Your great skills with fine scale-detailing and feathers make her especially lovely. Great ref sheet and great design. <3

This reference sheet is so gorgeous! I love how everything is so organized and neat, down to the very text placements and boxes. 
I also love Vreyin's new design, she's much more easier on the light colors than her older design, but in my opinion, they contrast much better against her darker colors; especially the lighter gradient markings on her wings and tail fan! I think they're my favorite parts of her, lol. The dangly feather earrings are also a nice touch. C: She looks so elegant, despite being the general of the battle magi.
And the detail and effort you put into her background story is very emotional, Vreyin seems like a strong individual despite her past experiences. Haha, the magical fireflies are very creative.
Again, gorgeous reference sheet! I am very much looking forward to seeing more of Vreyin in your gallery, her new design is beautiful; you did an excellent job!
