Description
A while back, my sister and I were talking about our fakemon designs, and she suggested I make regional variants of Sinistea and Polteageist based on sweet tea. After all, my region is based on the state of Arkansas, and since sweet tea is a quintessential southern drink it would definitely fit right in with the theme. She’s doing her own versions of them, but based on canned tea instead.

General notes:
-Sweet tea is often served in clear glasses, so I took that into account here and gave each Pokemon a glass vessel to be in. Sinistea is in a mason jar, which is a pretty common thing to put sweet tea in, while Polteageist is in a pitcher. It was hard to decide how I should shape their bodies; the original design has them in opaque vessels, but mine uses clear ones. Ultimately, I shaped them to conform to the shapes of their respective containers.
-Instead of the little “slosh” shape Sinistea has normally, the Arkarinian form has a lemon in roughly the same position. This is because sweet tea - and a lot of southern drinks - is often served with a slice of lemon, and sometimes mint leaves as well (I also considered adding those but ultimately didn’t).
-I incorporated the patterns on the original design into my version; Sinistea’s eye swirls are the same and even use the same shade of white, while the looping patterns on Polteageist’s teacup are present on this version’s pitcher. Polteageist also has the same handle as the original version.
-The original Pokemon are ghost/water types; I changed that to ghost/ice for this version as ice is a key part of proper sweet tea. That’s also why Sinistea has ice cubes floating in its body!
Update 5/20/24: I made the shinies better. They’re lime-flavored now

When a Polteageist possesses a glass of iced tea, it creates a strong, sweet taste that persists even after the Pokémon has left. Because of this, Polteageist tea is considered a delicacy in Arkarino.
