Description
Alright, the one a few have been waiting for. The patterns for the male are less complicated than the female patterns. Go figureThere is a section of major differences between male and female parts (other than the obvious) that cause distinction between genders.
I hope this tutorial helps.
So...any other Anatomy tutorial suggestions that might be helpful?
Update: Wow...a DD after....6 years of posting work! Awesome! It couldn't have happened to a better piece of work. I hope it enriches the skills of any and all who use them.

That's a good question. The essential differences will be the Pelvis and Rib cage. that must remain male for arms legs, you can either use female versions or use more rounded edges on the outline and use little to no inside detail.
The real trick is knowing your character. How old are they, are they athletic, etc. Not all males are muscular, especially at 18. One of the things I did was to buy magazines and literally draw all the people in the magazine.1) it takes you out of your comfort zone. 2) you draw more varied body types. 3) you learn clothing pretty quick
I would find specific reference for the body type you want and draw it as many times as you can. The patterns should still hold true
hope that helps.

Thank you so much!
It's been a while since somebody's made a good tutorial on male's anatomy, especially with all the little things such as the belly buttons and hips.

Yeah, it's not 100%, there are always variations (of course) but having some generalizations to work with can help significantly.

Man, it'll be really helpful to me! Specially the female pelvis angle and that diagonal for positioning the serratus! Thank you very much and congratulations on the DD!!

Thanks! Yeah, that particular detail comes in handy quite a bit. It's also an angle that is abused by certain comic artists....*cough* Rob Liefeld *cough*
