FULL STORY:

The Blue Typhoon, middle of space. Tails is diligently working at the Bridge, when Derek comes to check on him.

"Hey, Tails. Everything okay?" Derek asks. Tails looks up and replies, "Yes, I'm fine, Derek. What about you?" Derek nods and says, "I'm good. Tell me, don't you think you should take a break? You've been working all day." Tails considers it for a moment and then responds, "Well... we have a problem with the security system, and I want to figure out what it is." Derek listens and says, "A problem with the security system, huh? Alright, I'll keep an eye on the halls. If I see anything, I'll update you." Tails thanks him and Derek pats him on the shoulder before leaving.

As Derek walks through the halls, he suddenly catches a glimpse of a silhouette of what appears to be a hedgehog speeding past him. He turns around and calls out, "Hey, who's there?" But there's no response. "I could swear I saw something," Derek mutters to himself. He activates his glowing eyes and spots shoe prints on the floor, realizing who it might be. "Oh, son of a..."

Meanwhile, in Cosmo's room, she is deep asleep in bed, unaware of the looming danger. The silhouette enters her room.

Back on the Bridge, Tails is just about to finish his work when suddenly, an alarm blares throughout the ship, making everyone jump. "Attention, there is an intruder on Zone 12!" announces the Typhoon's security system. Zone 12 is Cosmo's room.

Cosmo wakes up, and sees a black hedgehog, Shadow, standing before her. "Shadow?" Cosmo says fearfully. "You're going to die, you traitor!" Shadow advances towards her, but before he can harm her, Chris, transformed into a werewolf, arrives in the doorway and says, “What is going on here?” Chris notices Shadow, who reacts by firing a Chaos Spear at Chris, knocking him out. Shadow then turns his attention back to Cosmo, but Sonic arrives just in time.

"Wait, Shadow! Would you tell me what's going on here?" Sonic shouts, trying to intervene. Shadow doesn't respond and charges at Sonic, leading to a fierce struggle between the two. Shadow manages to overpower Sonic and throws Chaos Spear at him, injuring him. Tails arrives at the scene and calls out, "Sonic!" And Sonic yells back at him, "Quick, Tails! Take Cosmo and run!" Sonic leaps back, then charges towards Shadow, but the black hedgehog rebounds across the ceiling and into Sonic from behind, sending him rocketing down the hall, creating a huge smoke cloud. Cosmo approaches the doorway, fear in her eyes. “Cosmo, what happened?” And Cosmo replies in fear, “I woke up... and Shadow was there, and he said I’m going to die.” Tails is shocked but wastes no time in grabbing Cosmo's hand and running with her. Shadow chases after them, leaving Chris and Sonic unconscious on the floor.

On the floor below, Knuckles is running down the hall towards the main floor and communicates through his walkie-talkie. "Can anyone hear me? What the hell is going on?!" Cream, who is at the medic room, responds, "Sonic and Chris got into a fight with Shadow. They'll be okay, but they need time to recover." Knuckles is bewildered and asks, "Why is Shadow here? And why were they fighting?" Cream replies, "We're still trying to figure it out, but for some reason, Shadow is trying to kill Cosmo." Knuckles grits his teeth and asks, "Where are they?" Amy joins the conversation and urgently says, "They're on the second floor. Derek is on his way there too. Hurry and help them." Knuckles replies, "Got it. I'll be there as quick as I can."

Meanwhile on the second floor, Shadow manages to flank Tails and Cosmo, his eyes glowing with anger. "Give that girl to me, Tails. Otherwise, it will be painful," he threatens, his voice filled with malice. "Never! I won't let you touch her," Tails says, his fangs drawn in defiance, as he positions himself protectively in front of Cosmo.

Shadow curls up into a ball, using his chaos powers to quickly fly towards the two. Tails pushes Cosmo aside and prepares to take the attack. But just as Shadow is about to strike, Derek shows up and blocks him. "Derek!" Tails and Cosmo exclaim in surprise.

"Get outta here, now!" Derek shouts as he struggles against Shadow's immense strength. Shadow starts to push Derek back, but Derek activates his glowing eyes and yells, "Don't you dare underestimate me!" Derek throws Shadow into one of the ceilings.

"Go. I will hold him off," Derek says, determination shining in his eyes. "Thank you, Derek," Tails says, concern evident in his voice, as he takes Cosmo's hand and they run off together. Derek pulls out his claws, and a moment later, Shadow emerges from the billowing smoke, a wicked grin on his face. "Challenging me is a big mistake, Derek. And you're going to regret it." Derek smiles fearlessly and replies, "Less talking, more fighting." Shadow smiles as he says, "As you wish," Derek transforms into a werewolf and the two clash in an epic battle.

Just then, Knuckles arrives on the scene and sees Derek and Shadow locked in combat. "Derek!" Knuckles calls out, but before Derek can react, Shadow takes advantage of the distraction and knocks Derek away. Derek and Knuckles join forces, attacking Shadow together, but the black hedgehog is relentless. He hits an iron pipe, causing thick smoke to engulf the area and blind Derek and Knuckles. "Damn it! No!" Knuckles exclaims in anger, but then, a voice cuts through the smoke, commanding their attention. "Final warning, don't stand in my way. Or you will suffer." Knuckles manages to exit the smoke cloud and says, "Derek, are you okay?" Derek replies from inside the smoke cloud, "Just go, I’ll be right behind you!" Knuckles nods and chases after Shadow.

Tails and Cosmo make it to the Hangar and board Tornado 2. Tails is determined as he says, "Ready for takeoff. Be ready, Cosmo." Cosmo nods, with a smile on her face as she clasps Tails' hand tightly.

However, Shadow arrives, blocking their way. "Last chance, Tails. Bring her to me. I don't want to fight you but I will if I have to." Tails is infuriated as he confronts Shadow, "Cosmo has never done you no harm, why are you after her anyway?" Shadow remains cold-faced as he replies, "I won't tell you. Now, move aside." Tails refuses, his voice trembling with anger, "Forget it, Shadow! I won't let you hurt her!" Shadow's eyes narrow as he glares at Tails, his tone menacing, "You're making a mistake, Tails. Bring that girl to me, or face the consequences."

Tails fires the Tornado 2 lasers at Shadow, but Shadow stops it from taking off by severely damaging it. However, Tails and Cosmo escape again into the air duct. Shadow follows them, but Tails reaches the top first and hits the shutdown button, temporarily trapping Shadow in there with the lasers. Before Tails and Cosmo can move a couple of feet though, Shadow breaks through and flies towards Tails and Cosmo, firing a Chaos Spear at the two. Knuckles arrives, but before he can react, the Chaos Spear hits him. "You again." Shadow says. "Knuckles?" Tails says in shock. "Don't worry about me, just keep going!" Knuckles yells, while he's barely standing. Knuckles attacks Shadow with all his might, but Shadow dodges again and again. "I warned you, Knuckles. Now, it's your time to suffer the consequences." Shadow leaps back and curls into a ball, hitting Knuckles hard. Knuckles gets slammed backwards and crashes on the floor, while Shadow is looking at him with a cold look.

Meanwhile with Tails and Cosmo. Tails, being a werewolf too, hears what's going on and looks back in shock. "What happened, Tails?" Cosmo asks, and Tails, with sweat on his face, answers, "Knuckles... he got defeated." Cosmo looks surprised, but Tails grabs her hand, and the two keep running. However, they suddenly reach a dead end. "Oh no, it's a dead end!" Cosmo exclaims in worry. They hear squeaks of shoes echoing from somewhere, and see Shadow's silhouette approaching. "We're dead..." Cosmo says, but Tails isn't ready to give up. He pushes Cosmo behind him, pulls out his fangs and activates his glowing eyes. "Wait a minute, Shadow. If you want to get rid of me so badly, at least tell me who sent you," Cosmo asks. Shadow answers as his silhouette gets closer, "Nobody. I'm doing it of my own will." At this point, Shadow fully reveals himself to the two and advances towards them, while not noticing that Tails is holding a switch behind him. "There's no point in trying to escape anymore, otherwise there will be deadly bloodshed," Shadow warns. "Why do you want to kill me so much?" Cosmo asks, and Shadow replies, "It's better you die without knowing the reason why." Tails yells, "Don't come any closer! I won't let you touch her!" And pulls the switch. The door starts closing, but Shadow is not impressed and smiles. "There's no point in buying time, Tails. It won't change anything," Shadow says. Tails replies with a smile, "I'm not buying time," and lets the door close completely. "Do you really think that will stop me?" says Shadow as he uses Chaos Spear to break down the door. However, what Shadow doesn't realize is that he has fallen into Tails' trap, the ‘Sonic Power Cannon’. "Shadow fell directly into my trap. Activate Sonic Power Cannon!" Tails declares, and Shadow is launched into space, unable to stop. "That's it, Cosmo. Everything is good now," Tails declares, and Cosmo nods in response. "Let's go."

Meanwhile, on the bridge of the ship, Tails and Cosmo take a moment to relax. "I'm sorry for causing so much trouble, Tails," Cosmo says, and Tails replies, "You have nothing to apologize for, Cosmo. You are very important to me, and the most important thing to me right now is making sure you are safe."

But suddenly, Shadow appears. It turns out he had a Chaos Emerald and used it to Chaos Control himself back. "That was a nice try, but not good enough." Shadow says. Tails shouts, "Run away, Cosmo!" as he transforms into a werewolf and charges at Shadow. Shadow dodges Tails' punches and knocks him aside. "Tails!" Cosmo yells in worry. Shadow moves towards Cosmo, but Tails attacks him again, and this time, Tails manages to hit Shadow. “You bastard… That actually hurt!” Shadow gets angry and beats Tails mercilessly, while Cosmo is watching without being able to do anything. Shadow then fires a Chaos Spear at Tails as a final blow. "No..." Cosmo says in shock. Shadow then turns to her and says, "Let's get this over with. I recommend you close your eyes." Shadow prepares his Chaos Spear to kill Cosmo, but before he can fire, Tails grabs Shadow's leg. "Leave her alone, Shadow... If you don't... you'll regret it," Tails mumbles. Shadow smirks, knowing Tails can't do anything. He is about to return to his business when a hole is blasted in the giant canopy above them. Glass rains down as a black blur speeds in, destroys Tails' console at his command chair, and speeds back out as various objects are sucked into space. Shadow uses Chaos Control to escape, leaving Tails and Cosmo to be sucked into space. But just before that happens, Derek arrives and grabs them by their hands, using his claws to grab the floor, so as not to be sucked himself. Right after that, four balls of protective webbing seal the hole. "Are you two okay?" Derek asks, "Yes… Thank you, Derek..." Tails reply. The Metarex's ship is revealed, and the entire front of the ship is filled with darkness. Suddenly Dark Oak, the Metarex's leader, says "Well done, Cosmo. Or should I call you - White Seed." Cosmo is shocked by this statement. "You have completed your mission." "What is he talking about? What mission?" Cosmo says to herself. The Metarex reveals to everyone that Cosmo is a spy, she has a codename White Seed and they monitor what she hears and sees through some kind of device implanted in her brain.
