FULL STORY:

Team Sonic is fully engaged in their ongoing mission against the Metarex, striving to retrieve the Chaos Emeralds. Tails and Chris occupy the pilot seat, deftly manoeuvring the Blue Typhoon while keeping a watchful eye out for any signs of the unexpected. In another area, Amy, Cream, and Cosmo are busy in the kitchen, collaborating to prepare nourishing meals. Meanwhile, Sonic, Derek, and Knuckles engage in friendly combat, honing their skills through practice bouts. Abruptly, Tails' voice reverberates throughout the ship's chambers.

Tails: [via mocrophone] "Apologies for the interruption, everyone. Me and Chris need all of you on the Bridge right away."

Without hesitation, the team members leave what they're doing behind and quickly converge on the Bridge, eager to understand the urgency of the situation.

Sonic: "What's going on, guys?"

Chris looks at the radar.

Chris: "We've just picked up a signal coming from that planet."

Sonic: (determined) "I guess we're gonna find out. Tails, Chris, Amy, Cream, and Cosmo, set a course for this planet!"

Tails, Chris, Amy, Cream and Cosmo: (going to their positions, grinning) "Got it."

Sonic: "Derek and Knuckles, you keep your guard up in case of an attack!"

Derek: (activates his glowing eyes) "Will do."

Knuckles: "Sure thing."

Sonic: (smiling confidently) "Well then, let’s do this."

The Blue Typhoon accelerates its speed towards the planet. After a brief journey, they land on the ruined planet. Derek and Knuckles scout the area, but find nothing but devastation.

Derek: (looking around) "Damn, this place has been completely obliterated."

Knuckles: "It's definitely the Metarex's doing."

The rest of the team disembarks from the ship.

Sonic: "Any signs of danger, guys?"

Derek: (shaking his head) "No, it seems to be clear."

Tails: (looks at his gadget) "Hey, I'm picking up another signal. There must be something here."

Amy: (curiously) "But where should we look?"

Cream: (looking worried) "Yeah. This planet is enormous."

Sonic rubs his chin and thinks for a second, and comes up with an idea.

Sonic: "I got it. Let's split up into pairs. That way, we can cover more ground and find what we're looking for faster." [Sonic assigns each team member a partner.] "Amy, you’re with me. Tails, you're with Knuckles. Derek, you go with Cosmo. Chris and Cream, you'll stay on the ship and keep in contact with us."

Everyone agrees, and they set out to explore the planet, in hope to find any signs for the Metarex. Meanwhile with Derek and Cosmo. Derek senses that something isn’t right and shares his suspicions with Cosmo.

Derek: "Something doesn't feel right, Cosmo. Stay alert."

Cosmo nods, her eyes scanning the surroundings. Suddenly, a voice calls out from the background.

Unknown voice: (off-screen, voice echoing) "Hey guys, over here!"

Derek and Cosmo are taken aback by the voice, but before they can react, Derek hears an arrow sound whizzing by from behind them.

Derek: "Look out!"

Derek pushes Cosmo aside, and an arrow hits his shoulder. Derek falls to his knees. Immediately, another arrow hits Derek’s leg.

Cosmo: (in shock) "Derek!"

Derek forcely pulls out the arrows from his body, screaming in pain. Cosmo runs to check on him.

Cosmo: "Derek, are you okay?"

Derek: "I don’t feel so good..."

Derek picks up one of the arrows’ broadheads, and looks at it with his glowing eyes, understanding what it’s filled with.

Cosmo: (worryingly) "What is that?"

Derek: (gasping) "... Anesthetic."

Suddenly, the Metarex, led by their leader, Dark Oak, emerges from the hills.

Dark Oak: "Well, what do we have here? Derek the filthy werewolf and Cosmo the seed girl. Nice to see you two. Now, are you going to come with us peacefully, or we'll beat your asses first?"

Cosmo steps back in fear. Derek slowly gets up, feeling the Anesthetic spreading in his body.

Derek: (whispering) "Cosmo, get behind me." (to Dark Oak, furiously) "I’ll take... the second option."

Derek transforms into his werewolf form to fend off the attacking Metarex. However, the combination of the Curare's effects and the overwhelming numbers, the Metarex quickly overpower Derek, who falls to his knees once more.

Cosmo: "DEREK!"

Dark Oak: "Don’t fight it, Derek. It’ll be more painful for you."

Derek shakes his head in violence, and punches himself, to not fall asleep.

Derek: (starts closing his eyes) "Cosmo… run!.."

Dark Oak: "I don’t think so."

Cosmo tries to run, but one of the Metarex grabs and pins her to the ground. Cosmo tries to break free.

Derek: (mumbling) "Let her go... Dark Oak... just take me."

Dark Oak: "I’m afraid I can’t, Derek. Both of you will have to come with us." (Dark Oak gently grabs Derek by his chin.) "But don't worry, we'll have a really good time together."

Dark Oak lets go of Derek's chin. Derek struggles to stay conscious as he keeps fighting the Anesthetic’s effect, but eventually, he succumbs to the effects and passes out.

Dark Oak: "There we go. Now take them, my Metarex."

The Metarex take both Derek and Cosmo, taking them away to their base. Meanwhile, on the Blue Typhoon, Team Sonic grows increasingly worried as Derek and Cosmo have not returned.

Sonic: (walking back and forth) "Where are they? They should have been back by now."

Tails: (looking at the radar) "I'm not picking up any signals from them either."

Dark Oak suddenly appears on the viewscreen of the Bridge.

Dark Oak: (chuckles) "Hello there, Team Sonic. I’m glad to see you all."

Sonic: "What do you want, Dark Oak?"

Dark Oak: "Well, I have a little surprise for you."

The image on the viewscreen changes to a dark room, with Derek in his werewolf form, chained against the wall. And Cosmo, locked in a glass cage, frightened.

Cosmo: "Sonic! Everyone! Help us!"

All of Team Sonic, especially Sonic and Tails, gasp in shock.

Tails: "Cosmo! Derek!"

Sonic: (furiously) "You monster! What have you done to them?!"

Dark Oak: "Nothing yet, but I will. Unless you come to my base, which is not too far from your location, within 30 minutes. If you don’t, the torturing arc will start."

Amy: "No, don’t do this!"

Dark Oak: "I suggest you hurry then, the clock is ticking!"

With a sinister laugh, Dark Oak ends the massage, leaving Team Sonic in a state of urgency and determination.

Dark Oak: (smirking) "They’re going to fall right into my trap."

Derek: (furiously) "You bastard!"

Derek struggles in vain against the restraints that bind him, unable to break free. Dark Oak chuckles.

Dark Oak: (smirking) "Oh, Derek, what a pitiful sight. It must be suck, right? To have all of that power taken away from you with just two arrows of Anesthetic, and couple of steel restraints. I bet you're not used to feeling this helpless."

Derek: (snarls) "I still got some teeth. Why don't you come here a little closer, huh? I'll show you how helpless I am."

Dark Oak laughs, takes out a knife and stabs Derek in the stomach, which causes Derek to growl in pain.

Dark Oak: "Threatening me, huh?"

Derek clenches his teeth in agony, blood oozing from the wound in his stomach. Cosmo gasps, her eyes widening with fear as she watches Dark Oak torture Derek. She struggles against her own glass cage, desperate to help.

Cosmo: "Please, Dark Oak! I’m begging you, stop!"

Dark Oak: (sarcastically) "Oh, you want me to stop? Okay."

Dark Oak twists the knife, and Derek growls even louder.

Cosmo: (with tears) "DEREK!"

Dark Oak chuckles, relishing in the pain he has caused.

Dark Oak: (smirking) "Oh, my dear Cosmo, it's not about what you have done, but what you are. Derek's werewolf powers are quite intriguing, and you, my dear, hold the key to unlocking them even further."

Dark Oak pulls the knife out of Derek's body, causing more blood to ooze. Derek struggles to breath.

Dark Oak: "Don’t try to test my patience, Derek. Or next time, the knife will go for your head."

Derek's eyes are blazing with pain and fury, he growls at Dark Oak in anger.

Derek: (roaring in anger) "You won't get away with this, Dark Oak. I promise you, I’ll rip you apart, and keep your head as a trophy!"

Dark Oak's sinister smile widens.

Dark Oak: (mocking) "We'll see about that. You're at my mercy now, Derek. And as for you, Cosmo…" (He turns his attention to her.) "I have plans for you."

Cosmo's heart races with fear, but she refuses to let Dark Oak see her tremble.

Cosmo: "I won't help you! I won't be a pawn in your evil schemes!"

Dark Oak's smile falters, and he moves closer to Cosmo's glass cage, his eyes burning with anger.

Dark Oak: "You don't have a choice, Cosmo. You will do as I say, or you will watch Derek suffer even more."

Dark Oak leaves the room, leaving Derek and Cosmo in their dire situation. Meanwhile at the Blue Typhoon, Team Sonic is still thinking about Derek and Cosmo.

Sonic: (clenching his fists) "We can't let Dark Oak get away with this! We have to save Derek and Cosmo!"

Knuckles: (cracking his knuckles) "Let's go, guys! We don't have much time."

Chris rubs his chin for a second, thinking.

Chris: (thinking) "I think I have a plan. But first, we gotta see if we can get any response from Derek."

Cream: "But how do we do that?"

Chris: "Leave this to me."

In the Metarex Prison, Derek and Cosmo are still trying to find a way to escape.

Cosmo's worried gaze lingers on Derek's wound, but she remains confined within her glass cage, unable to offer any direct assistance.

Cosmo: (looks at Derek's wound) "Oh my... Derek, are you...?"

Derek: "Don’t worry, it’ll heal..."

Cosmo's looks around, frustration and helplessness creeping into her voice.

Cosmo: "There has to be a way to break out of here."

Meanwhile at the Blue Typhoon. Chris climbs to a high point nearby, transforms into a werewolf and roars as loud as he can, echoing across the planet.

Inside the Metarex's base, Derek and Cosmo hear the roar.

Cosmo: (looking around in confusion) "What is that noise?"

Derek is confused too at first, but then he understands who is was, and the message behind that roar.

Derek: "It's Chris."

Cosmo: "But why would he roar?"

Derek's eyes glow in red, as his voice becomes deeper and more distorted.

Derek: (deep voice) "A wolf howls to signal its pack."

Derek takes a deep breath, and lets out a deep, loud howl, giving Chris his location. Chris' looks at the howl's direction with a confident smile.

Chris: "Yes. There you are."

Back on the Blue Typhoon, Chris quickly comes back inside the Blue Typhoon.

Chris: "Guys, Derek responded!"

Sonic: "We heard that too. Get ready, team."

The team springs into action, quickly formulating a plan to infiltrate Dark Oak's base and rescue their friends. They gather their weapons and equipment, making sure they're fully prepared for the dangerous mission ahead.

Sonic: "Alright, lead the way, Chris!"

Chris: "Sure. Come on, follow me!"

With their plan in place, Team Sonic sets off towards Dark Oak's base. As they approach, they encounter Metarex guards. Team Sonic manages to fend off the Metarex outside, and make their way to the main door.

Sonic: "Good job, guys! Now, Amy, you're with me. Rest of you, watch out here for any other arrivals."

Tails and Knuckles: "Got it."

Sonic and Amy make their way to the Basement as they fight off the Metarex inside.

Cosmo: "Hang in there, Derek. We'll get out of here."

Just then, Sonic and Amy arrive at their location, taking out the guards.

Sonic: (smirking) "Hello, guys. Did you miss us?"

Derek: (weakly) "You bet."

Sonic frees Derek from his restraints, and Amy frees Cosmo from her cage.

Sonic: (to Derek) "Can you stand?"

Derek: "Sure..."

Sonic: "Come on, team. We need to move fast. Dark Oak could be back any moment."

Derek and Cosmo: "Right."

The four hurriedly make their way through the base The team makes a hasty retreat, fighting off more Metarex guards as they make their way back to the Blue Typhoon. The team eventually manages to hold the Metarex off and make it to the Blue Typhoon safely.
