Description
This tutorial requires some form of a lineart technique before you can start. Two of my older released lineart techs are here:[link] for Basic shift-pencil (outdated by my standards due to discovery of the pen tool)
and
[link] (I use this if I'm really lazy. )
Next release will be on Fur and will continue on from where this leaves off.... with that ball.
_____________________________________________
So it has been a while since I have shared a technique... so here's one. Unlike my prior two tutorials, this particular one doesn't use any of the pics I'm posting cause well, I am lazy to document one of my active projects.
Believe it or not.
This simplistic and crude technique is at present the exact same technique I use for my shading.
Yes, I am a simple and crude person who doesn't really like employing overly-elaborate techniques... so much of my picture's effects are well.. Effects.
See, I usually start off with lineart, then colour-and-shade as shown here. Then I work on that result with fur techs and other stuff to get my final image.
So yes.
This is shading... Snowfyre style... now.
Released as always to show how crude and simplistic my techniques really are.
Har har har.

The example doesn't really do the technique justice. You say this is the exact technique you use yet your pictures come out far better than the ball you used for this tutorial

Yes. Believe it or not, this is actually the same tech I use. The part that makes it far better is the final step. Your result from this is simply an intermediate.
Also because of a somewhat lack of detail in the ball and my usual lazyiness to get it done.
Have a look at the fur stage before saying.

It's cause well,
My tech for paint is just the same as this really. cept my shading is by manually selecting colours and it takes bout 5-7 hours to get the pic done.

Actually no my only times that I did the whole paint thing is when I was still using windows XP... that was before the advent of the tablet made thing so much easier.
And me figuring I shouldn't be wasting 5-7 hours when I can get it done in 1-2.
Well, happy doing them then munny is still munny anyway.

Yeah, the Paint interface in Vista is awesome...if you ever even gave it a CHANCE! ;^;
Paint projects don't take 5-7 hours. 3 maybe, but certainly not that long. D=

Well,
I hated vista too much to warrent going back just for paint.
As for paint projects well, it depends on your skill, ho used you are to doing it as well as how much effort you commit.
