Yes what you make your icon, use a 100x100 canvas. For my tutorial i used a bigger one just so you could see what i do better
If you upload an animation bigger than 100x100 you must have a preview picture for it
If you upload it by 100x100 no preview page is required~

I downloaded it from a link i got on a youtube video (I tried to look for the link but i cant find it D: )
Any kind of gif animator would work for it, as long as it supports GIF. animations you are good to go ;D

i use iaza.com, i would use it for this but the files are HUUUUUUGe, i can usually only do 4 frames for it to fit dA's standards >3>

Lots of icons use ALOT of frames, which bugs me xD
I only use 5 frames and it works perfectly for dA

ik but like.. only 4 diff things for the entire thing. so i could make 3 frames but only repeat 2 more after them or file too big
unless its like... pixel, then u can do a lot of frames.... nya
