Description (Just realized I probably skipped yesterday's daily post, and no one cared )

Today's character is unusual for me. I don't often play humorous or comedic characters (I can appreciate in-character humor, but I don't like parody for the sake of it) and probably Oberon was one of the rare exceptions. Perhaps not exactly parodic but comedic nonetheless.

Oberon was a character I played in an AD&D game set in the great Planescape campaign setting. The setting itself is very weird and imaginific, so I had the chance to conceive a character that moved away from my usual standards. Oberon was a young magician living in a strange tower in the city of Sigil. He had inherited the tower from a distant relative, a crazy arch-wizard that had disappeared without leaving a trace during one of his interplanar journeys. Oberon was only an amateur mage, and was a little overwhelmed by the non-euclidean geometry of the tower's interiors and abundance of magical tomes and items (many of whom he had no idea how to use). He became good friends with Deirdre, the pretty pixie familiar of the former master of the tower - their relationship later evolved in a romantic bond. He became familiar with the strange inhabitants of the tower: magical creatures, homuncoli and constructs and sentient spells.
Oberon learned how to use the many portals that opened in the tower to leap across the planes of existence to distant dimensions where he lived his adventures.

The original design was meant to maximize the weirdness element of the character. I figured this crazy character with a brightly colored high-contrast camo-pattern suit of robes and a facial paint. The redesign is less exotic since I drew the original illustration before playing the character and actually  how I had imagined him differed a lot from how I later played it. However I decided to maintain some details of the pose, the appearance of the pixie and the magic spell effect.
