Description
Some time ago I had this crazy idea of redesigning with (hopefully) better skills a lot of my most beloved characters. I have a big Google Doc listing all of the OCs that I imagined and (mostly) played during countless tabletop role-playing games sessions in 25+ years of gaming - and drawing. The results of such a titanic - and foolish - effort are around 30 characters illustrations. Some of those characters had interesting designs, other were a surprisingly well drawn for the skills I had at the time. Most of them were pure crap, and my poor skills didn’t even allow me to portray them as I was imagining them. I tried to maintain a consistent style during the redesigns but as I progressed I noticed that some illustrations came out having a different level of detail - sometimes the character required it, sometimes I was simple too lazy to draw as many details as needed.
All in all it was an interesting experiment and I’d like to share it with you fellows here on DA to receive so,e critique or just for plain fun.
For the first installement here’s Aelth (aka Aelthemar Baldyos).
Aelth was a character I played during a very long campaign set in D&D’s Mystara setting but played with the Rolemaster rules. Aelth’s comcept was some sort of mash-up of Hercules and He-Man from MotU. Aelth was born in a rural village between the mountains of Thyatis, and since young age showed superhuman strenght and athletic skills. When the priests from the Temple came to bring him to the holy fortified city of Biazzan, everyone knew he was destined to become the greatest champion of all time. And so he did. He became an athlete, a pankratiates and a holy warrior. Unfortunately his adversion for the rules of law and the authority and his kind heart and free spirit soon turned him against his masters and he became the Destroyer of the Temple instead of its champion - as someone had prophetized.
So, here’s Aelth in full glory: blonde hair, handsome as the Sun God, his powerful body built like a classic statue. Enjoy!

Ah ah ah! Yes he really needed them, ‘cause y’know, wrestling other gladiators all day long in uncomfotable shoes is a real pain.
Happy New Year to you my friend!
