I don't mind people writing this and that about the rivalry between Sonic and Mario, but most people (most!) seem to assume that it's the only way to go. I mean, just because the two (and soon, three) games they've appeared together in are centered around competition doesn't mean it's all they can do, does it? I for one am a firm believer that they can bury the hatchet and fight alongside each other, rather than against each other.The Mario's sprite from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga; I downloaded it just for this stamp. The Sonic sprite's from Sonic Advance 2; I had it saved on my hard drive for who knows how long.
Just because we've never seen it happen doesn't mean it can't. And I'm absolutely sure it can. Who's with me?

Note: I did not know of Super Mario Bros. Z at the time that I made this stamp. Now, thanks to those who have commented on it, I am very adequately informed.

I don't know why people always want to pit them against eachother. They make a great team! I'm even making a series based off of Mario, Luigi, Sonic, Shadow, Link, and Kirby, work together to defeat an evil antagonist;Axem Blue.

They were the worst of enemies, and now you can argue that they are the best of friends. This goes for Sonic/Mario AND SEGA/Nintendo...
I mean SEGA is the only third party company that tries to push the Wii to its limits, not to mention the HIGHLIGHT of Brawl was Mario VS Sonic, competition on the outside, working together/friends on the inside...

Mario and Sonic are both heroes so why would they just fight eachother unless it's a friendly competition? Honestly people always want to see them fighting. Well I think they should have a full adventure where the two of them team up. That'd be one of the most epic things ever.

honestly i have to agree on this everytime i look around on the internet for both Mario and Sonic, they are always pitted against each other. Sure Sega and Nintendo were rivals, but wasnt the over with? i would love to see more of Mario and Sonic as a team rather than rivals trying to kill each other. it gets really old after a while.

They can get along, and they can be in their own adventure game. They may have different gameplay styles but Nintendo and Sega have pulled game 180s before. There's Super Mario RPG, night stages of Sonic Unleashed which were fun, and Sonic Chronicles.
