A bitless bridle? What is this sorcery! She had gotten so good at evading the bit by opening her mouth or lifting her head, but Celestian is different from the kids who used to ride her years ago. He didn't waste his time with different style bits or straps around her nose or other gadgets like her former owners. When she got stubborn and disrespectful, he'd stop what he was doing and make her move around in circles. He'd cue her first with the slightest pressure then increase until she responded. He made her respect him on the ground before ever bothering to get on her back. She used to dread rides and resented being told what to do. Now she would follow him anywhere as if he were the lead horse in her band. She'd never had that kind of relationship with anyone before. But now that he was finally up there and she was ready to go, he... wouldn't let go of the column.

Eh? Why is he afraid of falling off if he can fly? Well, he isn't a cat! If he doesn't react fast enough before hitting the ground he'll still go splat, and there's the possibility of getting trampled to consider. He's riding side saddle so he can wrap his tail around the pommels; stirrups are pretty useless to him after all. The... sheet thing? Whatever that is called saves me from having to draw it but it looks kind of strange this way, lol.

Next Chapter

That isn't a silver curtain or rain outside, they are actually behind the waterfall that Waterfall Ridge is named after. It's huge so it's hard to show it very well in pics unless you are really far away. The pool behind them isn't just a water trough but one of the "doorways" to Celestian's vast underwater home where he lives. There are several entrances in other chambers of the caves behind the waterfall as well as an exit leading directly into the river outside. His sheep stay in this area at night and during bad weather, and now it is Silver Dawn's home as well.

Her poor poofy tail. I've --- I mean, he's really got to do something about that. >>;

Also this HARPG stuff is killing me since "effort" is for some reason connected to how much of the horse is visible, not the work put into the art. When they are far enough away to see all of the horse Celestian's face basically becomes pixel art, but if I zoom in enough to show what his face looks like then Dawn's points get sliced for not being "full body." It's so annoying!
