Refinement of Soviet laser techology, it is using magnetic system to compress the beam and add more penetration power to it. The pistol was developed by Optron Research Institute in Orenburg, and mass produced in LOMO factory in Leningrad under the name of LMP-1, dubbed "the Lamp" by the Soviet Army soldiers. It was put to good use when Soviet army fought with China in late 2070s. It is based upon proved scheme of using pulsed semi-conductor laser emitter for it's main discharge barrel, however, it's efficiency is greately improved, and the beam is then compressed by electromagnetic coils to add more focusing and penetration power to it. Comes with bult-in laser target designator, emitting a hamless (low power), but visible continuos laser beam.
