While he was a Production Unit Manager for Doctor Who during several stories contemporary with ''The Brain of Morbius", he was offered the role of Producer in 1980 when Graham Williams left. Gallaccio turned down the role, which eventually went to a later Production Unit Manager, John Nathan-Turner.
