It's impossible not to feel a certain pity for Graf Orlock - having been obliged to endure immortality as a plague rat on two legs (or if you prefer as a blood-thirsty Typhoid Mary) he has now been turned into a lab rat.

Yup that's what Orlok is from this point on...nothing more than a lab rat for R&D....
I could imagine Orlok being locked up in the depths of a bioweapons lab with scientists in hazmat suits around him. No doubt that corporations like Umbrella from the Resident Evil/Biohazard games would like to have him....

One would HOPE they're taking proper health & safety precautions, but this being the stuff of Mad Science (Mad Alchemists?) I wouldn't be prepared to bet on it!

Here we have the very first Vampire that was "recruited" by Dracula which shows what his intention was from the start who is being used as a "Bioweapon"....
and I wonder what that machine is he's being hooked into and how that's spreading the Zombie Plague...

By the look of things it would seem to be extracting Graf Orlok's vital fluids and possibly refining them into something one can use in a weapon of biological warfare, not to mention keeping the old devil from a Final Death until Count Dracula is finished milking the venom he seeks from this sometime peer; exactly how this device can do just that is a complete mystery to me, but this being a work of Dracula I'd bet money Alchemy is involved somehow.

Maybe as if the Zombie Plague is really just a prototype of a much greater "Vampiric Contagion" that Dracula being a alchemist he is, is working on hence resembling something out of "I Am Legend" and "Daybreakers".....

One suspects that, so long as every new Vampire is HIS little performing monkey The Count would be quite content to reign over a Planet of the Vampires.

And the remaining humans that didn't get infected by the contagion would then be rounded up into blood banks and Dracula would then invade more planets for more blood and infect more vampirism in it's inhabitants.....

Dear me, that sounds like something out of WARHAMMER 40,000! (and if a Superhero setting reminds one of 40K then things have gone very, Very badly wrong for Our Heroes ... not to mention everyone else!).
