I'm not totally sure of the details yet, but in my AU timeline/source of RPing ideas, My Little Pony: Companionship is Magic (more info here: [link] yes, I'm plugging my own art, I'm allowed to do that) the Elements of Harmony meet up in Ponyville differently. Since they met as fillies, Rainbow and Twilight had a profound impact on each other, so by the time they meet up again in Ponyville, the two are ready to go on another adventure.

Even the Element bearers are probably going to be different, I was thinking Braeburn for the Element of Honesty instead of Applejack... she's stuck in Manehattan for some reason still. And Derpy instead of Rarity for Generosity. Because it's Derpy, and because why not? Rarity was lost in a rocky field when the Rainboom happened, if there was a storm as well she could have been lost there for years, for ages. My idea's to make her come back as a mighty Diamond Dog Queen, and somewhat evil.

Anyway, with Twilight and her closest Ponyville friends around her, Rainbow leads a charge into the Everfree Forest to find the Elements, and in the battle realizes her dreams of adventure and making a difference in the world are right before her, they brought her here and made her a set of friends who all show the qualities of the Elements that were in Twilight's book. And when the five Elements are gathered together, a spark will reveal the elusive, unnamed sixth Element, the Element of Charisma. The spark comes to her when she realises how much she wants to fight for her friends and defend them, defend everpony in Equestria against evil, and fulfill her dream.

(While this version of Rainbow Dash is still committed to joining the Wonderbolts, her greater knowledge and experience makes her put those dreams aside until she feels ready, as much of a skilled athlete she is, if athletics and flying were all they were looking for, she would have become one a long time ago, and she's determined to find that special something, sometimes even having to make a painful choice about what matters most to her and risk not being noticed.)

Twilight's Element in this universe is Loyalty, because of her dedication to Dash and her cause, and for never leaving her side through thick and thin over the years.
