For MLP: Companionship is Magic. When the Element of Charisma finds a strange, mystical mirror in Canterlot, she looks into it to find a very different Twilight Sparkle looking back at her, separated by an alternate reality. This feels like a weird crossover. I even drew Twilight in fully 100% FiM style, as opposed to my slightly anthro style.

Sweet Celestia, the number of songs I could mention here that feel relevant to this... let's see...

Journey - Separate Ways ([link] ) was the first one I thought of and listened to a lot doing this.

Not to mention the version sung by the Doctor and Derpy ([link] )

Doctor Who - Doomsday soundtrack ([link] ) fits, that whole Series 2 finale in general even.

Katy Perry - Wide Awake (ESPECIALLY the music video) ([link] ) - it's all about coming down from a high, meeting your younger self and drawing this felt like a love letter to my younger self, all those years ago when FiM started for me in the April of 2011.

Nik Kershaw - Wouldn't it be Good? ([link] ) after all, who wouldn't want to do what Twilight Sparkle do?

David Bowie - Within You ([link] ) from the movie Labyrinth.

Kotoba Ni Dekinai ([link] ) should be nostalgic, and I should be thinking about Sonic stuff listening to it, but it got me thinking about... if Twilight lost all her friends, or lost Rainbow, and this was the last time they met. I bet her letter to Celestia would go like this:

"That was the last time I ever saw my friend, Rainbow Dash. An image in a mirror that didn't seem like my Dash at all. But without evidence, I'll say she's still out there. I'll say she's still having adventures. I know she always will be.
