spirapride In reply to Pain-Release [2006-11-03 16:33:15 +0000 UTC]

But before i start laying in tehe shadows, do I have to colour the skin with a base colour?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

spirapride In reply to Tioz [2006-09-25 19:24:07 +0000 UTC]

just follow the example

Wow, thanks for the tip on highlights with the highquality brush then smudge. Doh, can't believe I didn't think of that before, i've been trying to hand paint it that way. Think you might do a tutorial specifically on how you decide where to put shadows and highlights maybe with several examples of tight and loose fitting clothing?

spirapride In reply to fromthemargin [2006-09-25 19:26:12 +0000 UTC]

I could do that but its alot of things to example and alot of ppl dont really get it as fast as others

Well, I'd appreciate any other insights into your technique, its all very good.

Wow. Thank you very much for putting these tutorials together, they're so helpful and the results looked really good. I often have great fun drawing the pic's and then it's like having a tooth extracted when it comes time to add colour. (Not that I know what that feels like, but I have plenty imagination)
But your advice helped me calm down and enjoy PS work more ^_^ and your keyboard short cuts are a lifesaver. ^___^

Many thanks!

Jen

instead of coloring over the picture with the skin tone, can i select the parts I want to tone? ( having a bit of trouble with that)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

spirapride In reply to LadyJuliana [2006-05-02 21:51:27 +0000 UTC]

I have a question since you make such simple and easy and great tutorials! How do you make such beautiful line art?! You see not many people make tutorials for lineart. And I don't have a spiffy program like Photoshop CS made especially for lineart, so I was wondering if you do your line art in some program like Photoshop! Cause if you do, then ::bows:: your amazing! My lines look so thick! >( So I was just curious xD trying to ask people on my journal entry too. So if that's alright with you, may you please share how you do great lineart? Sorry to bother! I just think your tutorials and info on how to CG are great!!
