It's very rare for me to leave a background white; whatever that urge is that we're trying to satisfy by drawing pictures found itself satisfied once I'd found the likeness, and I didn't want to force anything...

eek plan got backfired! i'm checking back in w/ the charcoal sniffing so don't you worry...but hopefully i still have what it takes it has been awhile.. the only pencil works i've been doing are technical drawings and sketches of buildings...

Beautiful sense of weight with this one, Raffa.

I love the contrasting shadows and all the wonderful detail that you have included. The hair is outstanding, and the design work on her collar really adds a lot of flavor to the image.
