wow, that's such a wonderful drawing, I love your great sense of values here, you got the full range, from very bright, medium, to dark, and with them you achieved a good contrast that really gets the full focus on the face, while still letting the eye explore the picture. It's a very vivid drawing, full of life, I think few images manage to capture that
I guess the only think I'd like to see changed, would be a slight suggestion of a background. I do realize that it's a portrait drawing with the full attention on that woman, but still I think that at least a few rough lines would help to kinda blend her in a more fitting surrounding, instead of that abstract nothingness behind her, and thus give it a even more natural look,
but other than that, no complaint, that's really wonderful art

Really feeling the richness of tone/value here. Off the friggin' scale. And thanks for the visual accuracy without recreating a photograph. That gets so lame2me. This image is alive. I can hear her breathing, can feel the same breeze as the ac plays with the fine strands of hair. Haha! I can see her right eye wince slightly at the intense light from the single thousand watt lamp as you neared the end of the shoot. Alive! Wonderful image, brother.

I love your writing nearly as much as your rendering; I selfishly hope for your particular prose in further delineating the recent apocalypse in Louisiana; I don't enjoy apocalypse, mind you, but if there's anything to learn from it, it's from authentic sages like yourself...
She met me for lunch, and we ended up on the roof of a 15-story building neither of us lived in; it was the first time we'd ever met socially outside of the restaurant she worked at, where we'd met... I photographed her in the sun, with the wind in her hair. I'd fallen in love with her during the first four hours we'd ever been in the same room together, but this was the day she'd consented to being with me outside of the waitress/customer restrictions of the restaurant.
Some pieces are artifacts of our most important moments on the Earth, my brother; thanks for singling this one out.

Awesome! I can see it now. Only the sun could bring out the truth of someone like this. It's simple and beautiful, without being simplistic.
And not to sound campy or corny, but it's more than a simple retelling of light and shadow. This is passion caught on the page! -A whole life viewed through some transcendental window pane. Wow! Awesome! That's what I mean. One can be a fine draftsman, but not be an artist.
