screaming for higher resolution, nice work it would be hard pressed to find pieces that far back.

I have a bad habit of minimizing my amount to carry, I am sure the pieces are out there, I would just have to traverse the country to find it.

I'm the worst kind of pack-rat-- I have newsprint tablets of the first life-drawing studies I ever did at art school; I have folders full of sketches from high school and elementary school-- I have an entire unnecessary museum...

Me, too! Have you ever used water color pencils and then outlined the lines with india ink? I adore doing that since it's so much fun and adds a cool intense effect to the drawing. It helps if you want to demonstrate certain aspects of a drawing and dim other parts.

That sounds like great technique-- I'll have to try it at some point!

Yeah, it's really cool. I first learned about it during my Art class. You have to wait a while for the water colors to dry since ink doesn't work well with it but once it dries, everything's good to go.

This is breathtaking. I adore elephants. They are such incredible creatures. You've really captured the folds and textures of the skin and trunk beautifully.

Thank you! Every once in awhile, I still find an excuse to pull out the old rapidographs and take them for a spin...

i love elephants. they have the sweetest eyes and they are so adorably chubby and wrinkly. Your drawing brings out this sweetness and sadness in their eyes and the wrinkles are beautifully drawn.

Holy smoke, I've got an elephant in the painting I'm working on right NOW! There is something about elephants that I kind of worship; I tend to use them in paintings when the subject is "memory", but there's just so much more to them than that-- I admire them so much, you know?

Gentle as grannies, powerful as locomotives-- pure yin, pure yang. Elephants might just be as good as it gets for life on Earth...
