Apparently S is a good letter. So is the stuff in the tutorial. I figured I would share some travel/packing tips that I picked up along the way.Honestly, the only way to not go broke and to stay sane in this hobby is to infuse it with as much rationality and practicality as possible.
Such solutions do not have to require a trip to your local Container Store or likewise. They are often free! Here are 3 tips, starting with S's, that are free or cheap to help keep your suitcase or travel bag tamed.

Yeah that idea with the showercap is good. I actually always used those plastic bags one gets when buying fruit.

Oh, that is definitely a good use for plastic produce bags since you really can't use them to carry items in! Nice.

Thanks for adding the last tip concerning the perfume. My mom's asthma gets triggered by stuff like perfume and the chances of her having a hard time escaping from such smells increases as places get more crowded, let alone in the high school classroom she teaches.
Basically: Don't spray in small areas such as bathrooms, don't spray in entryways, and don't spray in rooms that aren't well aerated.

Indeed, I was looking for a delicate way to say that when concerning fragrances vs allergies without being unfair to either side. Hence why I just left it at "Be conscientious of others." People will interpret that as they want anyway. LOL

I also have trouble with spray perfumes, though it's more when the particles are in the air rather than lingering on a person. I always suggest spraying outside and away from the door, and giving yourself a couple of moments to air out before moving into a crowded area.
