Okay, coloring can be a little nuts in the beginning but here's a simple solution, follow these steps and you can see results pretty fast. Although keep in mind that referencing is really the best way to learn!

The beginning image is one from someone here on DA learning how to color digitally, the images that follow are my approach to how I'd go about it. There's different styles and techniques but this is the way I'd go

Start off with a base tone, next heighten the tonal value to a richer color I either feather at this stage or use sharp lasso cuts, either way is fine. The last step is sharp lasso fir highlights. That's it!

Keep it simple and fun but really try to work the piece as well. Don't get lazy and fluff it off, if you do, viewers will do the same when they come and see your works. That's never good. So spend the time and focus and make sure it looks great to you before you call it done
