EDIT:PLEASE READ THE COMMENTS AS WELL!!! There are a lot of good suggestions from other crusaders on how to crush the bug we call art thieves.
I was recently asked by a new member of #Doombringers how to report images.
Instead of going into the details, I thought I would make a tutorial on how to do it for people new to deviantART who are looking to make it a better place for everyone else.
This tutorial goes over just how to report for theft, but as you can see, there are many different things on deviantART that need reporting.
If you need any help with other categories to report, please do not hesitate to ask.
If you also need to find a link to another place a deviation is posted, use TinEye to find other places that it could be posted, that way deviantART will delete the offending images.

Also, has any of the thieves mentioned in the comments actually been banned or given any punishment? I really want to know if the DA staff have done anything...

sadly third party reports don't do much. but DMCA notices filed by the original artist tend to get things done.

yeah, i used to follow the artist making the original work on tumblr back when i like naruto
and its clearly stolen since he posted 23 different drawings within half an hour
no one finishes art that fast
and all the titles of the art are just like "aasc63dexax.png" like he saved it to his computer, submitted it, and didn't even bother changing the name

I see. I'll report them then. Do you have any links to the original pictures? It's easier to get them kicked off DA with the originals as proof.

Thanks for posting this! I get infuriated when I find obviously edited work. I mean I just stumbled upon someone blurring/painting over pictures and paintings and then placing their signature on them. Even their traditional art looked traced! She puts in the description that they're fan art, when they look almost exactly like the pic they're copied from. D=

Search for "thecrowishere", this person has been copying other people's stuff n' renames them and takes credit for the originals, plus he's been accusing the original people who did the work he copied "art thieves" saying they're copying him.
Also the people who know what he's doing who've confronted him have been called haters by him and also gives them false numbers for a secretary that he made up.
Before anyone asks; I have no idea... -_-;

Out of curiosity do you know how to report a person who has stolen art from deviantart, but is posting the stolen works on twitter?

They can view copyright dates. Deviantart auto copyrights anything you post with a date. They can also see original save date if they look at the base image properties. Simply reporting it as 'My intellectual property' will work.

Its very hard to prove it since I cannot find original pieces, but i think his style in gallery is too inconsistent, and he has been here only for 4 weeks..? Plus he's got not comments on deviations whatsoever.

I was just about to bring up this guy myself. I've done reverse image searches but as you said it's difficult to find the originals but the pieces in question are all over other websites from months/years ago. I've tried reporting one of his latest pieces but I don't know what will come of it since I don't have concrete proof.. =/

Neither do I!
At first I just thought they were using DA as a place to post art they like (without giving credit, nice one!) because they actually admit on the profile that none of the art posted is theirs but then at the same time accept every comment and bit of praise as if they were the original artist.
It's just baffling, especially when it's so obvious ;_;
Definitely not cool posting an artist's work without credit or permission no matter how big or small they are!

Scout25 is also an art thief. He uses bases for his (shitty) mlp art and doesn't credit the original maker. He even claimed to be hacked to try and atone for the dact that he's an art stealing bitch
