SHORT STORY
The wind blew furiously along the Alaskan Front, causing a chain effect of all sorts of foliage to dance and even sing as the wind whistled it's soothing tunes. David sat, marvelling at the beautiful sight before him. He had his knee's held up to his chest and his chin rested on his right knee. He sighed in content at the sight, drifting off in his mind to a happy place. His attention was altered, though, when he felt the warmth and wetness of a tongue licking the entire side of his face. He turned around quickly and smiled at the dire, Truffle, standing over him. Her tail wagged happily from side to side as she peered down at the tiny human. She emitted a low 'Aroo!' towards him in which David replied back with his best attempt at a Tokota howl he could do! Truffle tilted her head for a moment, confused and curious. Back to being happy! Her tail started to wag once more. Behind her, the rest of the crew began to show up. Madow and Luciana walked side by side, offering affectionate nose boops to eachother. Kishi waltzed onto the scene alone, Engel trotted up and it appears she was tired... she had probably been napping. Soon, a certain toki had ran onto the scene as well! Boon barked happily towards everyone, running laps around the group that was packed close together for the most part. The lil' guy had a lot of pent up energy! Truffle grew excited as well as Engel, who ran towards the excited Boon. Luciana and Madow layed together, watching the two larger Tokota's play with the toki, an amused look drawn on their faces. Kishi, however, was not very interested and sat silently, licking his paws and pawpads to ensure he was clean. David laughed at the entertainment, leaning back with his hands buried in the grass behind him. The Tokota's began to tire, all of them panting and now looking towards David. Truffle's tail continued to wag, the happy girl, as she peered towards David for a response of sorts. She was met with him laughing at her goofy demenor and she grew excited, prancing happily in her spot. Engel and Boon lay next to eachother, panting loudly with their eyes narrowed a bit while they tried to cool down and chill out. Truffle, however, trotted around with her head down, busily sniffing around. David got up, looking around at everyone and grinning. "Let's go view the ocean!" He suggested towards the Tokota's despite their inability to understand what he meant. Hey, it probably meant they were going somewhere, though! And that is exciting! The group got up, everyone shaking off happily. Luciana and Madow sat up, yawning but seeming a bit excited at the assumption that they were in fact going somewhere new and exploring! Kishi got up and shook off his mane, beginning to trot ahead before anyone even began to leave! David grinned and decided to try and hop atop Engel who allowed him to. He pointed the way to go and directed her to begin trotting! Quicker! The group had picked up their pace, trotting briskly through the beautiful valley. David sat atop the greying tundra Tokota, admiring the scenery before him with a content smile. He sighed happily, turning his head to and fro to get a good look at everything. It took about thirty minutes of travelling in one set direction through a large grassland to get to the oceanside. They stood on the edge of the probably hundreds of feet cliff, peering down at the crashing ocean that slammed against the side of the cliff. The whole group stood in awe at the sight, the wind hitting their faces and fur, causing Kishi's long mane to dance beautifully in the wind. David watched the longmaned Tokota's fur cavort in the wind. The Tokota himself seemed pleased with this arrangement, recieving plenty of attention. He marvelled at the fact of being the center of David's attention, head held high and a sleek grin slapped across his face. Yah, I'm the best. David smiled and sat down, deciding to safely sit more away from the cliff's edge as to not be somehow pushed over by the unpredictible wind. Who knew how fast and strong it could get within the span of a few seconds? Better not risk that... Luciana and Madow enjoyed the sight, watching the sea below in content. Truffle and Boon lazily pawed at eachother as they were both laying down. Engel watched the two curiously, laying down a ways away but you could just look at her and tell she wanted to be there too! She began crawling lazily towards them, emitting a odd noise. David laughed, laying back now and closing his eyes. Ahh...
