I wanted to do a proper art for my crossover fanfic The Call of the Mountains of Madness: strixvanallen.deviantart.com/a…Maarten Van Helsing: "You will love to go there, professor. Think about the glory! The knowledge! The ADVENTURE!"
Prof. William Dyer: "The human-eating monsters!"
Maarten Van Helsing: "Yes, isn't it exciting?"
Prof. William Dyer: "You are sick."
Disclaimer: I know that most people picture Dyer as being a little older, but I decided to portray him as being not-so-old. In my fanfic, he was in his forties when At the Mountains of Madness happened (because he ran like an athlete to escape the shoggoth, side to side with the young Danforth, and didn't faint in this thin air environment, which means that he was somewhat young) and about fifty (give or take a couple of years) when The Call starts. But it's just how I chose to portray him, because I know that the story does allow you to give him whatever age you want.

Actually, now that you mention it, if I put Lake in the place of Maarten and both guys in winter clothes, it would be a perfect cover for At the Mountains of Madness. XD
