Description
Continuing the theme of 'what would it look like if it were published in the Macross Chronicle format?', started in: studiootaking.deviantart.com/a…This one took a lot (!) longer, and was a lot more challenging because the corner of the universe that they appear in isn't anywhere near as fleshed out as the Generation 1 CFs!
I also had to create a couple of new pieces for this one - some didn't exist in a final copy (the CF/A-121 Combatoid), or I was unsatisfied with how the existing art looked for them. The CA-123A Combatoid was redone twice! And in the process of redoing the art for the CA-123E Combatoid and Fighter, I ended up slightly revising the transformation and came up with a new variant of the CA-123, too. Busy!
I've got my fingers crossed that there are no continuity errors in the text... and on to Sheet 2B!

I find myself chuckling out loud; chum, sockeye, kekekeke
again with the great layout; very polished easy to read, the only thing my stupid brain notices from figure drawing is that many of the Battloid poses have the mechs looking down to the left, directin the viewer/readers gaze off the page...thats just me tho..

Hahaha!
I never really noticed that... I tend to draw Battroids in that pose. The fighters are the same, but I had enough common sense to mirror some of them, so they're not all facing the same way. LOL
Coming up with names is always a challenge - so a name theme is helpful. The salmon theme is both parallel and connected to the First Nations name theme.
It's odd how the farther one gets from home, the more one is interested in things from home. I think I now know more Chinook jargon and Coast Salish words, then I ever did when I was living back home!
