Some time in 2001, I designed FAST packs for the VF-4 Lightning III. They are based on similar looking FAST packs for the VF-1, made for either the VF-1X or VF-1X Plus upgrades.I have always felt that the connection points for the packs were somewhat weak, and that at full thrust at an angle other than directly ahead would put possibly frame breaking stress on the VF-4. But hey, this is all a fantasy, right? We don't have to worry too much about reality, eh.

Thanks. Though, the base VF-4 hasn't been changed. Looking back at this, I don't like the swiveling thrusters on the dorsal FAST packs. Especially know that I've learned that theres a scramjet engine located where they cover up! If I were to redo it now, I'd give it VF-25 style Super Pack missile launchers and skip the rocket boosters - the VF-4 is one mean machine; especially considering the 3 different kinds of engines it carries!

Maybe you should. right now I'm still try to make vf-4 with Full armor. But I don't know if Macross fan would agree with it
