This came out somewhat different than I expected (but isn't that always the case when one envisions art, and then tries to get that image down on paper?). Nevertheless, in the time that I alloted for it, it came out quite decent, don't you agree?
The battroid is a mix of the revised transformation and limb placement details with what I felt are the "unique charm points" on the original version: [link] (comparing the two side by side, I can also see a clear improvement in my art!)
I'm not quite satisfied with how the head and neck turned out. If I find the time...

Thanks. My feeling is that the rough sketch of the title page is much more dynamic. Mind you, it's just scribbles on paper, so a lot of that is probably just in my head.
Anyhow, after I finished the image, I started thinking about what would come next in the story (something about a landing pod, sniper Zentraadi soldier and a VA-3B or VF-4 joining the fray). We'll see if anything comes of that.
