No chair and frame are great!
The lighting is maintained at a superb level. The background in this one is better, and this time I definitely savvy the position of the hand on the stomach.

Man, this is about as good as it gets. You keep topping yourself, it's amazing. The detail I like about this besides the overall image is the way you have her shirt draped over her right breast in such a way so that the light shines through and backlights it. Not in an erotic way, just from a conceptual standpoint - because breasts are really all about motherhood, right? - and an asthetic one too, it's just all curves and very tender but modest so there's no eroticism muddling up things. Nobody's mentioned it but i think that little detail is really inspired. That's what I like about the way your portrait style is developing, that they're simple but not simplistic. I don't know if you think of these things on the fly or ahead of time but keep it up.

Thanks for noticing that! While shooting this I had considered the fact that sheer fabric is useless unless you can see through it. By backlighting I was able to emphasize the pregnancy aspect by showing her body's feminine shapes. Anyway, that's exactly the point of this image. Thanks for "getting" it.

bingo! I think you really put it all together in this image (versus version 1) -- the combination of the removal of the chair and the frame really accentuate the attention to the subject. I also like how her hand position has changed .. the subject's gaze down and the subtle hand placements focuses the attention squarely on her pregnant belly. wonderful.

I like this one better for a few reasons - her mood. She seems to be content and happy. In the other photo it appeared as tho she was throwing her head away from herself. The pose gives me the feeling as if she's bonding with her child. Very nice work

Love your lighting here again. It's nice how the belly is highlighted, being perhaps the focus of the image. The hands are placed very well, supporting/cherishing the new life. Emphasized by the mom looking down, perhaps thinking of how her life is about to change forever. I also love how the hair drapes down, framing the head. Just wonderful all around Kev. Wicked stuff!

It kinda looks like there's some haze or something over the area where her collar is. Was that intentional, or am I just imagining things?
