Description
*THE IMAGES IN THIS TUTORIAL ARE NOT FOR YOUR PERSONAL USE. THIS IS A TUTORIAL, NOT A STOCK IMAGE. YOU LOOK AT IT AND MAKE YOUR OWN. I DID NOT THINK THAT I WOULD HAVE TO CLARIFY THIS.*A tutorial for how I personally paint grass. I also sometimes paint fur in a similar manner
PLEASE NOTE:
I usually use the 4th nib, but accidentally used the 3rd for this tut. Either should work well, depending on your personal preference.
ALSO, this isn't a technical issue with the tutorial, but I forgot to mention that backgrounds should become more desaturated the farther back that you go. Keep this in mind when drawing things far away vs close up.
ALSO, if you do not have "noise 2" or "watercolour 3 pt" then just substitute for what you do have. I am not entirely sure how I acquired these extra settings, as I have downloaded multiple user-made custom brush things for SAI. It is possible that these setting came from here-- darlingmionette.deviantart.com⦠-- yet I am not 100% sure.
But I do not think that there is a significant difference, if any at all, between noise and noise 2.
Painted on SAI.

Hello, what pen settings should we be using for each stage? You don't really explain how you get the grass shape or what kind of strokes we should make.

DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT! Free trial works fine, but the purchased product requires you to complete the installation on your own; the product does not self-install lke every other software I have ever downloaded. SAI support staff instructed me to do ths: > > > > - Let us know the path of your SAI's program folder. > > > > (For example: "C:\tools\PaintToolSAI") > > > > > > > > - Let us know "Link Target" of the shortcut of "PaintTool SAI Ver.1" on Desktop. > > > > ("Link Target" is written in property of shortcut) > > > > > > > > 1. Right click "PaintTool SAI Ver.1". > > > > 2. Click "Property" on context menu. > > > > 3. See "Link Target". > > > > > > > > - Let us know the current system ID of your PC. I followed the instructions, but my PC did not have the "Link Target" option, so the install never worked, and I was not given a refund. ASK OTHER REVIEWERS IF THEY ARE USING THE FULL PRODUCT, OR JUST THE FREE TRIAL

I'm finding the first part incredibly difficult I don't understand how you're getting the strokes like that, maybe i just have some really bad brush settings, any chance you could post what you used for just the base layers?
