The character I'll be RPing on Oak Hills
Normally I wouldn't think about joining an RP, but this one is the first domestic dog one that I've seen, and I loved the premise, so I'm really really excited to try it out. (If anyone's interested, please go join! It needs more members D: And to my RPer friends: It's your ONLY chance to RP with me. Like, ever. xD)EDIT: Oak Hills is now Mushroom Grove. go check it out!
Anyways. This is my whippet (naturally) boy, Wings!
He's one of those characters that just happens to you. His name and design happened to me a few years ago when I was still in Track and Field and just doodling idly - SWIFT and WINGS are both athletic clubs in Singapore, and already having a Swift character, I thought it'd be cute to have a whippet called Wings as well. 
Wings was also originally a female (*gasp*) but when I was thinking about a character to play for OH he reappeared, and this time it just felt more natural to place him as a male. I knew I wanted a whippet, anyway

Awesome! Woah! 800? I'd die. Too long for me--especially when you're basically sprinting almost your fastest the whole time. My friend does the 800 and 1600 and she's gotten 1st a crapload of times. She says she loves it, though (I think she's crazy xD). Yeah I stick to the shorter distances hehe

Actually, they're pretty hardy. Those legs are built to run. They're not fighting dogs, it's true, because they were bred to run, not fight. They have very low body fat and aerodynamic bodies. Whippets aren't Lassie or Rin Tin Tin, but they are tougher than they look.

Yeah, they didn't breed them skinny like that for fun x3 They're shaped like that and are thin like that so that they could run fast enough to catch their prey. Scenthounds that hunt by following a scent, like bloodhounds and beagles, don't have that kind of physique because they don't need to sprint 35 miles an hour.

Ooh, this is so beautiful! I love his design, and I also love whippets! That Dog RP sounds like a alot of fun, I think I'll go join. I used to RP, but I haven't tried my hand at it again in years. I also think wings is a wonderful name for a whippet, since we all know how they love to run.

Well, after reading the rules, I don't know if I will. I probably will, I just don't know if I can keep up 1-2 times every week. It's not much, but I am quite busy. I don't think they mean it as a direct requirement, so I probably will sign up. Just so you won't be surprised if I don't sign up. I look forward to RPing with you, too! Still don't know what my chracter will be, probably some sort of sighthound... or a papillon maybe...

Well, not unconventional, I guess XD *misuses words* The only RP I'm in right now is more of a creative writing thingy, as we write out long posts and it's more of a creative writing sort of site than an RP.
It's been awhile since I was in a sort of forum-style RP, though... I may check it out again XD
