coloured the Kirby and Rick doodle from the Kirby fanart dump I did [link] . I'd quite like to play Dreamland 2 again. D:got myself Super Star Ultra recently and have been playing like a crazyperson. Great Cave Offensive held my attention like a gripping book, and there aren't that many things that can say that about themselves.
whee. as somebody that didn't really play games growing up (watched a ton though), I'm making up for lost time.still can't wait for Epic Yarn!!

Rick the hamster was a character in Kirby's Dreamland 2 (and 3, but I never played that one). when you save him from the baddies you can ride him around and he acts as an extra power-up.

I might have to go find me a Nintendo and some old games, I miss that stuff man. Somehow I never got around to play Kirby, and I don't understand how because that totally looks like a game that would have been right up my alley, furthermore something my parents would have gotten for me! Rick is ADORABLE, omfg.

My Wii is probably the first family console that's been mine exclusively, since nobody plays with her when I'm not around, so I'm really quite attached to her, and I brought her back to NY with me last time I was home. A Wii might not be a bad way to go if you're jonesin' for some old school nintendo. A lot of the old NES and SNES games are available for download on the Wii virtual console which I have just got set up and intend to take advantage of. I want to get Kirby's Dreamland 3, which I've never played (was a Sega child) but want to very much

I really enjoy and recommend the Kirby series of games for a variety of reasons, as well as Kirby himself as a character - not least because he is a BAMF in pink ball form, which I think is completely awesome. this video about sums up why very well: [link]
