Okay.. I've been inspired (and slightly prodded xD) into drawing more Silver Brumby fanart lately - and rereading the books too. There were ideas for several pictures I had at one point and no time to carry them through, and eventually I forgot about them entirely.. but they have been rediscovered. And now they are being drawn. Yay.
I promise I'll have that tiger char sheet up asap, though.Getting back to the picture, it's Thowra's half-brother Storm with his mare, Kalari, Boon Boon's sister. The only time she actually appears in the books (that I know of, anyway), though, is just before she dies, so you may not know/remember her. But I like to think Storm and she had the kind of relationship that Thowra had with Boon Boon, because she was one of his first mares, and probably as wise as Boon Boon too. Also he seemed so sad when she died
So.. yeah. Here they are when they were younger, I guess. I'm a sucker for supporting-character romance xDThe Silver Brumby and all related characters Β© Elyne Mitchell

This picture isn't supposed to be from any one of the books - it's just a random sweet moment for Storm and Kalari. I did draw a picture of Kalari's death though - it's somewhere way back in my gallery around the time this one was drawn.

Thanks! I colour my stuff using Photoshop 7. Ink it with coloured lines with the paintbrush tool and then colour in on a layer underneath the outlines. Think that's the standard procedure, more or less, no fancy stuff or anything xD
