(l-r) Bebe, Kite, Cayda, Zoot, Jovi, Topper
so yes, Penny's finally been bred and had her litter. I've been planning this forever but finally I get to play it out and have it happen, FUN. I feel I have to thank *BlueFlyer for helping me out, I hadn't intended to start a whole plot with it and I'm really quite pleased it turned out the way it did.
I can hardly wait to see these guys grow up on the MG boards. aaaahh.

As always, holycow, love your characterization. Seriously.
I think I would probably pick Cayda - so sweet and unassuming-looking (would need lots of socialization as a puppy though!) and I think the hubby would probably choose Topper, because he looks sturdy, tough, and intelligent.
But since we'd only get one pup, I'd bet we'd end up with Bebe, who looks active and intelligent, but still sweet (and showing signs of submission without fear, so wouldn't try to fight human dominance much).
Yes, I'm playing the adoption game with your litter. *grins*

Yes, you've nailed Cayda exactly right! Topper is certainly confident and smart, but the 'sturdy tough' one is Zoot in the middle there. Zoot's going to be the biggest one, even taller and more muscular than his daddy. Topper's going to be the charming, suave show dog, probably a bit of a ladies man in the kennel club circle. 
The adoption game is lots of fun and who doesn't like talking about their characters? xD

Aha. That's funny, since I was actually waffling between the two for him. Knowing that Topper is destined for show would definitely swap the weight over to Zoot. I think I went with Topper because I think Steven would like the coloring, too.

I love the name Kite as well - and was glad to have the excuse to use it! She's going to be more reserved and polite, like her dad, but she'll have her mother's fire and competitiveness that will really come out when she courses. <3

btw, I saw the most adorable Italian Greyhound puppy earlier today. It took all my willpower to say no. I can't imagine the kind of adorable whippet puppies are! :3 I may have to give in and get a sighthound next, break the herding dog tradition.

How exciting! I come back after a month and I get to meet the Wings and Penny pups first hand! I came here to dA before MG but just your drawing gives me a pretty good idea of each of their personalities. I wonder if there are any left to scoop up or if they are all already adopted out.
I couldn't even begin to pick a favorite either!They are all so beautiful Swifters. Congrats to the proud momma and papa!

Whee, I finally got a chance to look at all of my devs and see yours! Are they baby whippets? I love the expression on all of their faces, you can really get an idea of each of their characters immediately from that. I love the name "Zoot" but I think Jovi with the blue eye is my favorite. Congrats on the new characters

I love all of their poses(but Kite's is my fav)! also you did a great job on their designs, each one looks unique. I really like the black and white ones.

Don't be depressed, there are enough unwanted pups in the world and you don't have to have your bitch give birth for you to see or play with puppies. My dog's spayed too, but it's honestly for the best. in the sense that I think she wouldn't have enjoyed being in heat or being pregnant or having pups at all.

Don't worry, I would never consider NOT spaying or nueturing my dog. I may be selfish, but when it comes to my dogs, I would never put them through the difficulty of having a litter just so I can pplay with puppies for a few months. I was using "This makes me depressed I had my dog spayed" more to emphusis your drawings cuteness then to express regret that I spayed my dog. Okay...enough rambling!

I think my favorite is the one with the white face mark, and one blue eye. I have a bit of a weak spot for animal's that look like they're wearing some kind of mask. I love how all these pups are unique from each other in a realistic manner. Good job

Nope! Purebred whippet puppies, these are the parents: [link] You probably got thrown off because whippet puppies like all puppies have blunter faces and chunkier bodies while they're still young, and they have similar ears to Pits so they look a lot like them.
