Description
Dedicated to ~ox-of-ice since she requested a painty picture, and I hadn't done one in a while xDAnyhoo. This started off being intended to be a piccy of Sita, which turned into a picture of cub Sita and cub Harimau. There's a story here somewhere.. I think Hari's trying to show off to Sita how he catches fish.
They so cute. The cubs were a colouring experiment for tigers and their stripes which I'm quite happy with. I'm quite happy with the water and rocks, it took me a while to figure out how I'd go about doing it, but I think I royally screwed the grass stuffs that's behind. I don't have the patience to put so much detail into my backgrounds x_X Oh well. Impressionism! heh.
If ANYONE alludes in any way to Rajah/Shere Khan/Lion King/Disney/Don Bluth/WHATEVER, I... will not yell at you. Because I don't yell at people over the internet and only very rarely in real life. But I WILL be very annoyed with you and FEEL very much like yelling at you. I dislike my style being compared to other big-name cartoons. You have been warned. Thank you for reading (I hope.)

They are so cute! My fave real life tiger is named Sita. She is an orange tabby from Dreamworld Australia.

POW! This is going in my faves list. And I know exactly what you mean in terms of trying to drive away from the whole 'oh my god that is so lion king/disney style!!' pointing. I'm currently in the midst of drawing tiger characters myself and have been doing them since I was 16 and although TLK was an instant inspiration its also been a burden with trying to make my style unique. I can see a different style in this too as well as some disney inspiration. Hari's colouring and stance reminds me of one of my tigers; Kali while his hair reminds me of my other; Kesi. ^^

Honestly, little tiger cubs just make me squeal. And Sita is especially adorable! Well done on the stripes, too, they look like they really flow with the way the muscles move underneath the fur. Painting backgrounds are simply evil and I'm with you on being a little impatient with it cos I'm like that too ^^', but I love the way you did the reflective water! Some people would just mix up blue and such but you did it the way jungle water should really look. ^^

The stripes were done on another layer and shaded in separately. It was irritating work but I think it came out well

I wrote out an entire comment that was full of totally intellectual remarks and compliment. AND THEN my *** who shall remain unnamed. *points at her closes male ancestor* TURNED THE POWER OFF! I tried to sum up in words how astounded I am with this deviation. I failed. There are only 2 that can encompass all of the feelings and compliments I can muster. "Sheer Talent".
You are a shining star Swift. You light the way down my path of inspiration. You open my eyes to the possibilities of being everything you can be, and doing everything you can, but in your own way. The comments you give to me, are worth than anything any of my teachers ever said to me. You get to the heart of it all and say what you mean and mean what you say. This deviation, to me holds a certain amount of metaphorical justification. You encourage people without showing off how good you are, and by my god are you good.
