Meet my new whippet character, Aspen - Asp for short - designed to star opposite ~ClarifiedAbstract 's Beezle in a future RP. o.oAsp is basically my gemini whippet - her personality and likes and dislikes seem to contradict each other. She loves friends and socialising but can't stand to be in social situations for too long. She's optimistic and bright but by turns a cynic. She's a flirt who's afraid of giving too much of herself to anyone - but at the same time she hankers the security of commitment. I'm thinking she's still rather young and hasn't quite settled into what she is and/or wants to be just yet, so she ends up with a little bit of everything. I still need to get a handle on her properly, which is proving hard since she's so all-over the place. Though I have the gemini complex to some degree myself, I nonetheless think that Asp is fundamentally made of different stuff than me. and it's just a matter of trying to find out what said stuff is. 9_6 anyhow. that will come, I'm sure.
And yes, her markings and such are symbolic. It was my first try at consciously symbolic markings/accessories, and I like to think I succeeded

I love the duality/opposite of the markings. She's balanced, but unbalanced at the same time. Like the ears being opposite, and the hind and forelegs being opposite.
I also just love that face mask.
She sounds like she'll be a fun character, once you get her completely understood! And I know how that goes. *grins* Excellent!

Hehe yeah it is pretty annoying that Geminis are classed as flirts, since I am also fiercely monogamous and terribly sensitive (probably because I was born early and bordering on Taurus... well heck I am Taurus/Gemini cusp. Gemini by 20 minutes!) It's not the best combination though I tell you (Head in the Clouds, Feet on the Ground... even more duality *spazzes*)

Ahh, I adore the rose pendent- it reminds me of Revolutionary Girl Utena XD I really love her back scks and front white toes :3 hehe. And her facial markings are so unique, and lovely!

LOL! The yellow rose symbolises platonic love - which supposedly likewise symbolises her unwillingness to commit. Her markings in general just play off her dual nature.

Very awesome! My mom's whippet, Bony (whom was very very old) finally had to be put to sleep. We were all really sad. But it was best for him. He couldn't even stand up on his own and he was always in pain with his arthritis. But now we have a new whippet puppy, Gracy. She is white and orangish tan and is sooooooo cute! I'll try and upload some pics of her at some point. I'll let you know

Yeah it was very sad. But he was loved and had a good life with us. And LOL yes I will def send pics we actually took some today of her. My mom, step-dad, and sister and I all took her to this baseball field where there were no people and just let her RUN. It was sooooo cute! At first she wouldnt leave my mom's side and my mom had to kind of jog to get Gracy to run a bit, so I had this idea to hold her and have my mom walk across the field. Then I let go of her and my mom would call her and we could see her run at top speed. It was AWESOME! lol. My sister got a cool pic of her running. Then my step-dad bought her this adorable pink tank top that says princess on it or something so she wont be cold. She is so spoiled lol. Anyways I'll get my sis to send me that one and I'll get some more before I head back to Ohio so I can send them to you

Haha, you shouldn't feel embarassed! I don't even do that normally - Swift certainly doesn't have a pink belly. Cartoon dogs in general don't have pink bellies - mainly because most of said dogs are for animation purposes and the pink belly would be difficult to keep track of I think! but I've seen people do the bellypink thing, and my own shorthaired dog has that too. so. yeah. o.O
