Description Working outside of Mark Simmons' lineart is difficult. I thought I'd post up what I ended up with. I can't really color it at this point because the lines have deteriorated so much from my manipulation. The head is the wrong size and it's in the wrong place, and I think one arm is shorter than the other. The head was especially hard as I mixed medias, adding a Barzam (from Zeta Gundam) head frame to Xenogears lineart.

There are some things I really like about it though -- I pulled the monoeye and replaced it with a GM-style visor, which I think looks good here. The small shoulder shieldy-things next to the arms were pulled and edited from two different units, then merged together under the larger shoulder armor. I also pulled parts from the chest and legs to modify the head and fit it nicer into the body, and I like the look of that too.

I need to figure out how to clean my linearts without destroying the lines ... I'm not skilled enough with the eraser and even without antialiasing, the magic wand goes too close.

Feel free to tell me how crappy this is.

Friggin awesome man. Oh hey, I'm working on that one thing you have on your "most wanted" list. I love the Megaman Zero games and those Guardians!! AND I LOVE GUNDAM!! Soo...

Yeah..but gimme some time to do it. I procrastinate...and work a lot....and suck at coloring in Photoshop...lol

Thanks for the comment. I appreciate it.

I'm looking forward to seeing that image completed, as I, like you, love both the MMZ games and Gundam. But I assume you gathered that from me wanting that image in the first place.

Speaking of which, I guess I have to go buy a DS now so I can play Megaman ZX.

Too bad I still can't draw them for myself, as that would give me the most freedom of all. But it is an interesting feeling to step into a different style.

Thanks for your comments.

The suit that the arms come from has big buns inside them, that's what the black holes are for.

Thanks for your comment, I appreciate it.

Sorry, that's "guns" not "buns" ... I was really tired when I wrote that.

It's really cool what color are you gunna make them.

P.S. If you want to seem my gundam character/s suits you can come to my site. I have a story about two aces in the OYW Dolos Negisa known as the "demonic nightmare" and Alexander candisky ernst (not much on him yet) the "angelic requiem". A bit cliche'. but I like it cliche'.

Here's how I get my black and white parts: use select color to select all the white (jack it up between 150 and 200 works best for me) or just select Highlights. Then do Inverse Selection, make a new layer, and use paint bucket black to make a transparent outline.

Having your transparent outline parts make color easier since you make a layer under each part and color in that layer.

It may not be uber spectacular, but it's pretty darn spiffy! Uh... I have no idea what to tell you about fixing it up though. :S
