This was just a quick little thingus to keep my skills sharp. I wanted to refine the classic Zaku I (who's design I love -- have to get the Master Grade kit!) and do a little pallette work on it. I took the colors from the Zaku II and changed the pattern placement a little, then added some of the various panel lines from several different linearts. The shield was an afterthought, but I liked how it looked, and having the Zeonic Seal on it was a nice touch. But I made sure to include the earlier version of the Zaku Machinegun because, well -- quite frankly, I like it better.Lineart obtained and edited as publicly-released material -- originals at [link]

finnaly, a new deviation...Im not a gundam fanatic, but I am familiar with Zaku's...I like the Zaku 2 wayyyy better personally. Anyway, still looks nice.

I like the Zaku II as well, but there's something neat about the way the Zaku I is shaped. It's more slender-looking without the external power cables, I think, and that's a look I like. Plus, I've done enough Zaku IIs for a while. XD

Lookin' good there, chief. Maybe it'd've been more work than you wanted to do at the time, but a Heat Hawk would've been a nice touch as well as the 105mm Machinegun.

I was thinking about adding a grey Heat Hawk for posterity. I may yet go back and add it in.
