Description The RR-15 Recoiless Sniper Rifle is a rare weapon of antiquity, developed during the early days of the IRS as a low-tech anti-material rifle based on the Croatian RT-20. While quickly replaced by more conventional 12.7mm sniper rifles and later on, laser DMRs, the RR-15 found use among the IRS' light infantry, special forces and black ops units for its simple construction, ease of maintenance and reliability in environments where advanced weapons are hard to service.

The RR-15 fires 15mm rocket-assisted rounds of various types, the most common being armor-piercing depleted uranium folding fin-assisted rounds for defeating infantry power armor. The round is inserted into the rifle from the back and when fired, the backblast from the round's catridge is funneled out of the rear tube. Unlike the larger rocket launchers, the backblast of the smaller round is minimal and largely non-toxic thanks to developments in propellent technology, allowing users to fire the weapon in confined spaces. Other 15mm rounds can be fired as well, such as airburst, HE-FRAG and Incendiary rounds for defeating enemy infantry behind cover. Other than infantry, the RR-15 has also been used against lightly armored vehicles, tank cameras and sensors, defensive emplacements and strategic installations such as radars, sensors, communication antennas and power generators.

The RR-15 has a telescopic bipod for enhanced stability especially when firing prone and has a variable power digital optics capable of magnification up to 25x, allowing users to engage targets as far as 2km away. It is also incredibly lightweight with ceramics and polymers making up most of the rifle's construction and is very portable with a removable telescopic barrel and a folding gripstock, allowing it to be compacted for storage in a tubular casing strapped to the side of a soldier's field pack.
