It begins! Looks like DA has no problem with me posting these in PDF format, so I'll be swapping to that unless there is some complaint I don't yet know about.
Anyway, welcome to Book 2, have fun reading this monstrosity that I've been working many a month on (far longer than I thought). I'll be submitting to EqD in a few days, so enjoy before the rush?
And no, I didn't plan on releasing this AFTER the end of the season. I planned to have this posted months ago... it just worked out this way.

I'll look forward to how well you liked it. And there is a G-doc link in my comments to assuage those who hated me doing PDFs for DA (which is one of only 3 formats DA accepts, and the only one that could handle the lengths/word counts I routinely hit this "book").

I really enjoyed the first book and have been looking forward to the sequel. That said, is the story being posted somewhere, like Fimfiction.net, in a non-PDF format? Sorry if this has been asked before. PDFs are a bad format to convert into MOBI or EPUB formats to load on to an ereader like Kindle. And copy/pasting from PDFs strips formatting and renders each line as a separate paragraph making it arduous to put it into a conversion friendly format.

At present time, no. Furthermore, I refuse to post to Fimfic due to issues of some content they allow on their website. Unfortunately DA will only allow my story's full length to be posted if I post it as a PDF.
As for E-readers, since I use a Kindle myself, I've not had the problem you indicated. it's possible you're using a different program than I am, however. I use "Calibre" for my conversion needs, and have had no problems (admittedly HTML ports over cleaner than PDF, but pdf converts pretty well, with only some odd spacing issues and occasional unrecognized characters).

Honestly, for a second, I feared it would be a dumb βfemale supremacy VS male supremacyβ(or a large/heavy focus on it) story, hidden behind some random villain... It doesnβt ββlookββ like it will be the case, so far.

Well, Celestia is a Princess and divinity... thus her jurisdiction is sometimes as big as she wants it to be. In this case, you are correct. I partially address that in Chapter 1 (okay, just a passing reference).
Hence why two of the guards were making constant rounds around the tent. Besides, Celestia and the ponies inside would've noticed someone come in, and entering it was the only way they could have gotten around Celestia's spell.
Eh, I made my call on that one way back in Book 1, so I'm running with the idea.
Oddly, this isn't... exactly the case. More will be explained in time.
And yes, I had this planned for a while, even back in Book 1. This was the first thread that told me there would be far more to the story. More, you might be surprised where the "dumb male" side is going as well, but I won't ruin future plot points.

What I essentially said was : I hope this isn't a ''female supremacy VS male supremacy(or a large/heavy focus on it)'' story. 'That' would make for a rather poor base for a 'good' story, *IF* it was the case.

What I mean is that the original "all females" on the Elements of Harmony team is what tripped off the signs in my head that there was going to be more than just "book 1". A New Breed was only going to be those 20-some chapters initially, that part of the story changed it.
As for the rest, I'm saying you may be multiple parts disappointed, surprised, and hopefully in the end, happy with how I handled it.

Huzzah, the anticipated sequel appears.
I like the concept you presented about balancing out the feminine and masculine aspects of both sets of Elements. Combined with the still present threat of the Nightmare and Ultrapony duo, this will prove to be quite the interesting story.
Also, as a side note, when the season finale aired and the Changeling army was first shown, I swear that my mind immediately had flashbacks to your Imps xD

Thank you. I actually wasn't totally sure about keeping that plot point at first, but when my pre-reader threatened to steal it for their own story if I didn't use the Elements of Justice, I knew I had a winner.
And yes, the Changelings made me think of the Imps too. Enough so that if Chrysalis & company had been around when I wrote book 1, they likely would have BEEN Changelings instead of Imps... Tho am I the only one who noticed that all those changelings are technically alicorns? They have a horn and wings, can fly and do their shape-shifting magic....

I have it rigged as a PDF, it works off the site's scripts, unfortunately. However that was the only size DA would accept it being posted as (the chapters are just too big). If you have a PDF reader, you can DL it and read it locally as well (or it's possible that's the problem, it might require you have a PDF reader on your computer... I didn't think that would be an issue. >.< )

Overall? Only a little over a year now. MLP:FIM got me started... I mean I did little vignettes with some art, and had story ideas, but this is the first time I've ever tried writing seriously (Well, as serious as fanfiction gets anyway).

Sorry. >.< I really did plan on having this ready to go weeks ago (possibly as much as a month or two), but I ran face first into a writer's block trying to work with one of my plot points. I got it sorted away (It was a pretty big plot point, so I couldn't just ignore it) and am back up and running.... I really wanted this up BEFORE the season finale tho, if only to avoid the glut of fanfics the season end was likely to bring with it.... Bleh. Best laid plans of mice and mares, ya?

*chuckles* Even with as far as I've written, there's still a lot to go. >.< I think I'm only 1/3 the way into this "book", and the chapters are almost double the size they were in book 1. This is gonna be a monster, no matter how you cut it.

Looks like I'm back to reading again... now I'm never going to finish writing any of the fan fictions I'm working on now. (Not that I have any help writing it either... I so wish I had a team for working on Mischief Bakers.)
Yo, TC great way to tickle the senses with good story telling again. I've spent a lot of time recently reading a fan fiction seventy chapters long and that was over the previous weekend.(Each chapter consisted of approximately five to ten thousand words a piece.)
Last thoughts: I'm still a rather depressing friendless sometimes mental being with no sense of what it wants to do with its own life and knows of supposed evils that those elements could lead to as sometimes... "Justic is easily blinded and rarely uses it's other senses to see the truth". I'll try to provide commentary on what I think, it'll probably be as bizzarre as it always is. (I'm only friendless in so far as I have nothing but acquaintences and family. Friends are people you can meet in person.)
Are we to expect more Spider-Man shenanigans? (IE super powers are cool but trying to be a normal person sucks when you have enemies coming out of the woodworks all the time.)
Also did you expect the changelings at all? I did and it fits to who wrote that episode, I love that queen as much I do the Muffin Queen which should make her more powerful. (I like her general design and name)

Glad you liked the starting. As for the rest, not exactly with the Spider Man-like things. As for Changelings and Chrysalis, unfortunately no. I had the plot/outline for this worked out LONG before she was introduced. Makes me wish she'd been introduced a while ago, her Changelings would have rocked as "imps".

All Chrysalis needed was some real love and she could have just went into dating for that, if she looked at another way she'd be happier being a monogendered being given her tranformations can be male as well as female.(Mass Effect-Asari, enough said.) She probably doesn't think she looks beautiful or something, I personally think the insect like fangs are adorable and she could probably shape change the holes out of her figure to really give off some extra resplendence. (That or I can pour bubble soap on her wings and legs, then ask her to fly around.)
The imps of your design are vastly different from changeglings, the changelings could only imitate appearance and I noticed in the fight scene that they didn't really hold too much power as they did numbers. They also really didn't use their abilities to great effect but I count that as most likely starvation on their part or that the elements of harmony knew each other so well that they'd never mistakenly hurt themselves in the confusion. (It's like watching Naruto fail to get Kakashi with his Shadow Clone jutsu in the bell test really... I've been reading way to many fan fictions that cling to the main plot way too much lately and it's frying my brain so badly I can basically skip half a fan fiction and know when the author is actually going to get to a deviation at some point. Your originality is a great change of pace, Fallout Equestria has long been over with but you're picking up the slack for the drought until they officially anounce an episode of season three.)

Chrysalis was an excellent design, I won't argue. However the Changelings and the Imps were very similar in some ways. Mostly for the "swarming zerg rush" tactics that ignored individual health for the group.
As for Fanfictions, yeah FoE is done, but I'll admit I'm reading Project Horizons and Heroes from the FoE universe (I am really enjoying PH, and Heroes I'm warming up to). I am glad you're enjoying what I've got so far.

I'll agree to that, AND it lets me upload far larger files. I tested it with the largest chapter I've written (so far) and it had no difficulty. if that hadn't worked, I would have been forced to remote link to Google Docs or something....
