The X3-PL "Lurker" is a mecha that can take on a variety of roles. Designed primarily for stealth assassinations of human targets, this is a vicious killing machine. It has also proved to be excellent at infiltration/surveillance work and has also found use as a trap; waiting underground until troops pass which it will quickly rip through.Related content

I love this snake design! I think it would best work as an assassin mech. It would spit poison into the targets eyes and onto their skin, causing there skin to burn! The poison would probably be sulfuric acid!

Nice menacing pose, I like it. I also think you've got the background spot-on as well. Enough to give the robot context, but subtle enough not to detract from it.

Very nice! Personally, though, the claws could be sharper, or at least the edges might be visibly hewn down (across) to look like a knife-edge.

i think some japanese guys made an acual mech that looks like this without the claw. it can even swim through water.

WOW that's really good. Is that like 3d toonshader. If it is then what program did you use? This thing looks kind of like one of Doc OC's mechanical arms from Spiderman. Keep up the good work!

looks cool, I like the design, though it doesn't really looks like a killing machine even if it has the snakelike appearance, it looks more like an spy-bot, and I think that on the claws could be added a bit more detail (see Spiderman 2 Doc Oc) , and even the body itself looks a bit too simple, would looks better (in my oppinion) if it would have some ...details, like mechanical parts that could be seen...^-^, but is still looks cool!

I agree the jaws could have a little more detail although i thought they were fine at the time. not sure how much detail i would add to the segments as each tiny detail would be duplicated on every segment and could quickly become distracting to the eye, plus i think it looks more durable this way. glad you like it!

Have you seen the real thing(but not for fighting)? It also swims in water...really! There was a tv program about robots here in Japan and it showed a snake-like robot that slithered on the floor then entered the water and was able to propel itself.
