Description People have sometimes said that they would like to see my mecha carrying more firepower, so here you go!

2 Massive long range cannons
4 Gatling Cannons
2 Missile launchers

What do you think?

**edit** i forgot to metion, this was originaly an attempt for me to produce some decent tank tracks with individual links etc, i think they turned out ok.

The body is clean, compact and soundly designed! Conveniently armoured will be difficult to disable, but the sensor on the head maybe is somewhat exposed.

oh yes. ! now where talking my type of mechas.

and the tracks came out beautiful . well done.

again another beautiful design. now let me go through it .

1. now the head is much more efficient , being able to look up and down gives it the much needed field of view givin its weapons.

2. the tracks are kind of positioned oddly. with only the tips of the tracks touching the ground it leaves very little tracktion and tork but it gives the mecha height and design so its ok i guess.

3. the robot is defenatelly armed to the teeth with missile launchers and gatling guns for anti personnel or anti air defence. the only problem, i have is that having the gats connected to the same turrents as the massive cannons are connected to would seem to slow down its responce time. trying to track any fast moving machine with those huge turrets might be a problem

but great job on this one.

I love this one too, I normally dont go over the top with weaponry but this mech has plenty of firepower!

In regards to the tracks I positioned them in that way only to show that the could move if needed. In normal transit that could be flat like normaly tracked vehicles but if needed it could raise/lower the tracks independantly to climb extremely rough terrain.

I agree with you about the Gats on the same axle as the Cannons ...Damn! ..the really need more degrees of freedom to track fast moving targets independantly of the main Cannons ...maybe next time!

Your work is atrocious. Atrociouslly good! [link]

This si the kind of tank I do love, in regards to the armament (I love loooong cannons and Gatling Cannons) and the tracks (they are greatly detailed and individual; great to make Transformer tanks without worrying about the "magic splitting track syndrome" as I call it! ).

nice mate.did you uvmapped the tracks or is it modeled?

technoscream In reply to wartistic [2006-01-17 09:38:05 +0000 UTC]

well... to be honest i dont know what uvmapping is so i'll have to go wth modeled. They took a long time to work out the mechanism and then a lot of aligning things just right, i didnt find this very easy in the program is use. now i have the track though i can replicate/modify it for other designs. Im glad you like it

uvmapping has a purpose for different things.it mainly means that you give a texure, coordinates on the object
also you can fake 3d with uvmapping so a 2d texure will simulate 3d this way.
you should check it out .it bring your models to the next level.
imo you have enough model skills, its time to evolve learn some more things cause you have the talent

Currently using sketchup (www.sketchup.com for an 8 hour free trial) i like it, its good for somethings ...but not for others.

wooh, it really looks cool! You have a great imagination, that tank really looks useful *evil grin*. But, if you wan't my suggestion for next model (not that my sugestions count or anything), it would be cool if you made something more...mobile(?[my idea of "mobile" is somehow related to Tachikoma from Ghost in The Shell]), and yeah, the tracks got well, would'n dar to stand in front of it X)

technoscream In reply to spliter [2006-01-17 09:29:49 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for the kind comment! I realise this one doesnt look quite so agile, but its designed to be a ranged weapon and so just needs to get in position and then fire off all all its weapons! if you have a look around my gallery i have quite a few highly mobile designs, many multi limbed mecha plus one with wheels. i might go for a mobile, insect like, scout mech next ...hmmmm
