ok another great one you got here and another great idea.
rapid response mecha i can see why, the lightweight design. the fast road wheels.
the small fast firing gatling guns.
the only problem i see is that there is no place the ammunition to go. 1 gatling gun can spend 40-100 rounds in a second. and to accomodate 4 of them will require an enormous ammunition supply. but i understand how hard and annoying it is to create magazines and still make machines look good. hell even armored core doesn't use ammunition supplies in there designs.

I wanted to try a wheeled mech just for a change, I like how it came out but like you say it needs ammunition supplies and to me I also think i may have been a little off with the centre of gravity and should have given it a wider footprint or made it lower. In regards to the ammo supplies until now I have found them very hard to produce in the software I use (sketchup) and so they only appear on my most recent mecha ([link] ) i am constantly learning and getting better with each mech. I think my fav part of this mecha is the wheels and pods they are in, i think I could probably reuse them elsewhere.

looking good.i think a realistic render looks cooler.
but if you keep it cartoon render it makes no difference.first find out how to calculate transparency in your texure.a lot programs use blue to calculate (blue becomes invisible ,program depended) and a good 3d program aloud you to put multiple texures on one object.works a bit the same as layers in photoshop

Thankyou for the advice, i find it interesting. I still have SO much to learn about working in 3D, i have only scratched the surface on rendering, and have only just started to play with shadows etc (not on this model) but it makes a huge difference. im currently using a program called sketchup. thanks again.

Very nice design, i'd like to see this thing given a gritty, "seen action" kind of texture.
