Because sometimes the one who gives comfort to others needs a shoulder to cry on, too.The basic pose was referenced from an illustration that I love by Dong Ho Choi from "Herdboy and Weaver" (both because I adore the story and because I'm useless without references), so it may have something to do with that.
Also, it's my first ever sketch colored in photoshop! Yeay me!
I think some of the colors look a bit iffy--flat or something, I dont know, but oh well. In general, though, I really like this one.NOTE: Tite changed. This peice was previously called "H/C Angsty Goodness" as a stand in title because I couldn't think of anything else. H/C stood for "hurt/comfort." Still not sure I like the tite.

Zuko came out nice, but Katara's anatomy is off.

I know. She was kind of a pain to draw, since I didn't really have any referance to go by for a person sitting in that kind of position. What, exactly, do you think is off about it, other than the fact that I'm not really sure what happened to her right leg? I think her torso is too long, or thin, or both or...something. After a while I just kind of gave up on that part of it and decided I liked the rest of it enough for it to be good enough (for the time being).

Thanks. Actually it never really occured to me for there to be anything for them to say, or for it to have any real context (aside from the story that had the illustration that I reffed, which is about two lovers who are only able to be together once a year, and in that, is rather sad, but mainly I just liked the pic), but sure. Though, I suppose, if you, or someone wanted to, and did the dialogue in a seperate deviation, like, a copy with wordbubbles inserted, or a text submission (i.e., a fic), then that would be fine with me, but I would want credit for the original, and a link sent to me, so I could check out whatever had been written, cause that'd be wicked fun. I'd love that.

Do you read SG1 fanfics often? Or at all? I've seen some people use the hurt/comfrot thing, but seeing as I'm bad with acronyms I wouldn't have known that's what it meant if you didn't say so. XD

I see the hurt. I see the comfort. It is very clear which emotion primarily matches with which character. The moment has been captured.
It is moments like this (hurt/comfort moments, I mean) that are more romantic than any other. "Angsty Goodness" melts me like butter.
