OMG, I drew a ship other than Zutara! I decided there wasn't enough Sukka around, and I needed a nice fluffy break from Zuko. I really like this one, especially Suki (though I don't like Sokka's arm and hand/wrist. I admit that part sucks).This, again, was a sketch colored in photoshop. For it I referenced one screenshot of Sokka, and about ten of Suki, as well as an old copy that I had made form some issue of a Spiderman comic, which I randomly came across not long ago, and thought "hey, that'd make a good Sukka pose," but when I made the copy, I didn't write down what issue it was or even what title (though based on the pic itself, I think it may have been Marvle Knights). So sorry to whoever did the original Spidey pic, but I don't want to go throught all my comics just to find one pic.

In this artwork, you are making some excellent artistic choices. While Sokka and Suki are easily recognizable, of course, you have added some subtle grades of feeling to their facial expressions. These subtleties work wonderfully for a Sukka portrayal. One gets the impression that this portrait was made sometime toward the end of season three, when each of the characters have become more developed.
Suki, at least for the duration of this portrait, has dropped the battle-ready appearance that is so customary to her. Beneath the armor and the warpaint, I see a woman in love, untroubled by any thoughts of war, grief, or despair. To cause such a reaction in Suki, Sokka must have done something really wonderful, and that brings me to the next point of interest about this artwork.
Sokka, while not much older than he was at the end of season two, has done some growing up. I have seen many pictures of Sokka, but none in which he looks suave. You have made Sokka (Sokka, of all people!) seem charming and dignified, without any undertones of arrogance. In his eyes, I see the same adoration that is so present in Suki. It is a beautiful moment.
All that remains is for them to kiss, and the narrative voice of Iroh to say, "And they both lived happily ever after. Well, maybe not happily ever after. Sometimes they fought. And their daughter gave them a lot of grief in her teenage years. But whenever they had a problem, they always worked it out together. And finally they died, an old, old couple, after having lived long, good lives." And fade to black.
By the way, don't be so hard on yourself about Sokka's arm. It looks exactly the way an arm is supposed to look.

I always loved those kinds of moments between them (when she's acting less acting less war-like, and he's acting a bit more grown up), and I'm very glad that you liked my depticion of one.

In fandom terms, which is the way I am using the word here, canon is that part of the fandom which is authentic because it comes directly from the actual TV show/ movie/ book (whatever the fandom is about). Fanon is the popular fandom things that were created by fans. So, the Sukka 'ship is Avatar canon (since they're actually sort of together), while Zutara and Taang are fanon (thus far, anyway). I hope that explains it clearly enough, sorry for confusing you Icediamond600.

And Suki's hands are just incredible.
Her face seems to be a bit off (squished together, I think), but that's the ONLY prob I have with the pic, and her hands really draw the attention. SPECTACULAR!!!
