My first photoshop pic, and my first iPod pic. Yeay! I'd been wanting to do one for a while, but I hadnt been able to decide what I wanted to do it of, and then tonight I had the sudden urge to do one of SG1, so now here it is. Sadly, I honestly have no idea where I got the original photo. It's just one I had on my computer. oh well. I

I know! I'm so excited about the movies. Just so long as they aren't overly shippy (which I know seems weird, because I'm such a rabid Zutarian, but somehow along the way all my SG1 ships just died and I became a bit of an anti-shipper. Though I still like Daniel/Shau'ri.

Well, they did TRY to rid themselves of Daniel once!!
I dunno if you know about that, but there was an actual online petition to bring back Daniel Jackson and they got him back on the show! (that would have been the season they had Jonas Quinn replacing Daniel who had *ahem* 'ascended' ). Then they had to 'unascend' Daniel for all the thousands of fans who signed the petition! LOL!
I love Stargate, but sometimes I gotta laugh!
"YUCK Grandma!! Stargate?.... that's just another Star Trek and/or Lawrence Welk show! How could you like that show?!"
I love the way Daniel is now too! As soon as he got over trying to act like the Daniel from the movie that started it all!

I actually wonder quite often what my kids and grandkids will think of all my geeky fandoms. It could be worse though. At least Stargate (unlike another, supposedly classic, sci-fi show which shall remain nameless) doesn't have cheap cardboard/plywood sets and lame sound stage planets. True, every planet looks like British Columbia (and some are named for parts of it), but that's better than a sound stage.
And yeah, I love modern kick-ass Daniel, too.

lol, yeah sometimes I think he might be cursed too, especially considering the odd pattern which he has seemed to develop of him being or having been involved in some way with women who were, had been, or eventually would be Goulds. Amunet, Hathor, Osiris, Q'tesh... very odd. O.o

Ever since my first viewing of the television series "Stargate", I have been posing the question to myself, "How long will I have to wait before some kind soul does an ipod commercial parody of this piece? I have combed the internet for months looking for just such a piece as this. All the essential elements are present here-the masculine intellectuality of Daniel, the brute strength and coolness of Tealc, the take-charge officiality of Jack, and the charmingly beautiful yet blindingly brilliant technical savvy of Sam. And then there is the in-yo' face, in the hizzouse coolness of the ipod holding illimitable dominion over all.
Kudos to you, Kristin Garrett. I eagerly await the oppotunity to buy you first print. Shall I start the bidding at $1,000?
