Description

A gargantuan portal opened up in Illinois, giving way for a kaiju unlike any we've seen before. The monstrous hydra towered over the landscape, its many heads scanning the surroundings for a target. It had already begun its assault as the military arrived, but their weaponry couldn't pierce its hide. One of the heads reared back and shout out a stream of pure acid, destroying some helicopters and forcing the rest to retreat. It had free reign for a couple of hours before both the MAKO2 and MAKO3 intercepted, but thankfully it hadn't reached any heavily populated areas yet. They both pelted it with Tengu shots, but the beast recovered from the wounds faster than they could deal them. It fired beams of acid, but the mechas managed to avoid them by a hair. They fought for so long the sun had begun rising, but that wasn't the only thing on the horizon. Both Orcadire Jr and Rikidorah had come to help, making it a 4v1. It still wasn't enough, the rapid regeneration even outpaced their combined efforts.

The two mechas used their Ion Annihilators in unison, but only landed a grazing hit. The wound didn't heal, and they remembered how the original Orcadire had defeated the infinitely regenerating Cryogorah by destabilizing its body with an Ion Destroyer. Orcadire Jr had also noticed, but his Ion Destroyer missed as well. The serpent was too limber and was able to avoid the beams due to their charge-up. Rikidorah charged in and grappled the beast, using his 3 functioning arms to restrain it. The hydra tore into his flesh and coiled around him, but this had been part of Rikidorah's plan. He nodded towards his allies and closed his eyes for the final time. Rikidorah gave his life to keep the hydra in place, and they couldn't waste this opportunity. Three beams of crackling blue tore through the hydra, severed heads crashing like felled trees to the ground. They had lost an ally, but there was no time to mourn as another portal was opening on the Californian coast.

The MAKO3 took to the air to intervene, but the MAKO2 started acting up again and had to stay behind. White smoke started to seep out of every crack and seam, and inside something was starting to change...
