Notes:So, to start things off with this interpretation of the chart, most of the description is no longer on the deviation itself. The unfortunate truth is that this page became way, way too long because the DB franchise never stops adding transformations. There will inevitably be more Saiyan transformations on the horizon, too. They drive merchandise sales.
Anyway, you can now find all the information in this Google Doc: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…
As always, there's no need to ask about whether I will be including a form or why I haven't added any potential new transformations to the chart. This document will likely be kept up to date with at least acknowledging new forms as they're revealed. However, I will still be waiting for them to fully debut in the their respective media (anime, manga, games, whatever) before deciding what I'm doing with them in regards to the project.

The series of submissions labeled under the title of DB Redux are part of a fan rewrite of the official series. Anything that you see in the art or description that varies from the original manga or anime sources is most likely intentional. While I appreciate that you are taking the time to look at my gallery and notice these differences, I do not require a comment on what needs "correcting" because it wasn't "originally like that".

Actually, that makes a lot of sense. If the series were ever continued, and GT was made canon, this diagram would be a great inclusion in the writing framework. Always thought SSJ4 was a little unexplained and out of place, and this really is a great hypothesis on why it looks the way it does (both in terms of hair color and fur presence) and is reachable the way it is. Great Job!

Who says GT isn't canon? The anime doesn't have an officially defined canon. o.O

The manga is canon, the anime merely puts it into an animation form. Anything the anime shows that the manga doesn't is filler, and therefore not canon.
GT can be argued as an alternate future however, because it is rather well thought out. If you wish to believe GT is canon, then it can be canon. If you don't, then it's not. It's mere perspective. Just like all filler, but GT specifically because it's technically it's own series.

No, that's an opinion; there is no defined canon for anything in the franchise. You're making the assumption that the manga is the sole canon just because it is the original version, but because no one related to the franchise has officially come out and decreed what is or isn't canon (not that Toriyama would even freaking care anyway), that's nothing more than fan conjecture. You should really read things before jumping to conclusions, because the blog is written from a factual perspective on the issue. There is hardly an opinion in it. I also never said you were wrong, just that you are applying an opinion as if it were a fact in this case, which is wrong. You are certainly entitled to the viewpoint that the the manga is the sole canon and everything else's inclusion is debatable if you so desire, and it is definitely a decent ideological basis for use in in-universe debates for the franchise, but that simply saying that doesn't end the discussion for everyone because it's not officially stated or universally accepted...which is my point.
Sure, I don't really care. Most of it is just taken directly from the series and the guides anyway, but yeah, credit and all. lol

Well, I never read blogs simply because most are usually bull, or just a waste of time. Or at least the few that I have read are. So you'll have to forgive me for jumping to conclusions there.
And as for insisting my opinion was fact, you'll have to forgive me for that too, as I generally assume most people will accept that anything someone says is in their own opinion, and not as if it were a fact. Maybe it's just the way I typed it out that it came out like that, which, if so, I apologize for.
And thanks for letting me use it. Don't sell yourself short though, I have yet to see any decent guide for the transformations before this one. And you still took the time to put it altogether.

Maybe if you weren't replying to a comment that was basically asking "why is GT non-canon when no one has officially defined it", it would have came off as an opinion. But you made it sound like that as THE definitive answer, not just A possible answer.
There have been plenty. There is never really a chart like this, but there is a text equivalent that works well enough since they aren't adding in extra forms like I did.

I would name Super Saiyan 4 "Hitozaru" or Super "Hitozaru", without the first "o"/"oh" because that means "big" and in that state Goku is not "big" anymore... Oozaru/Ohzaru= Big/Great Ape. Well it's only my opinion...

I'm not using the proper kanji for the term, so the individual parts don't really mean anything anymore. It's just intended to be a pun that is written out with katakans; "ヒトーザル", not "人大猿".

I never said he couldn't. This is just a chart detailing the path you have to take to unlock the forms. Once you have gained that state, you can pretty much jump between whatever ones you want.
